Not Your Typical Grief Book

The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson is not your typical grief book. It’s completely devoid of purple prose, none of this ‘heart shattering in a million pieces, never ending tears’ BS. Rather, The Sky Is Everywhere is full of genuine heart and emotion.

Literally, my reaction AHHHH.

Unfortunately my background was sorely lacking because I never picked up Sabriel by Garth Nix as a teen despite it’s numerous awards. Straight up, that makes me a stupid ass, because contained within Sabriel are multitudes of awesome.

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green Book Review

Colin has dated 19 girls named Katherine and been dumped by all of them, hence John Green’s title An Abundance of Katherines. Relationships, Colin believes, can be measured by a mathematical equation based on how much a person is a dumper or a dumpee.
