The Wrenchies by Farel Dalrymple appealed to me because I am the exact sort of person who loves books about ragtag gangs of children who rise up against villainy. What compounded my interested even more was the fact that this book is a graphic novels and I will forever and always love comics.

I thought that This One Summer would be a pretty neat female focused comic book perfect for my summer reading. My instinct about this did indeed prove correct and so — the summary combined with a quick flip through to look at the art combined with A TON OF BLURBS from authors I really enjoy lead to me reading This One Summer and I regret NOTHING.

I really also wanted to read Andre The Giant: Life And Legend for some hopeful bits on the film The Princess Bride

Mortal Danger, Aguirre’s latest young adult book, is actually not a terrible read in my eyes. I have seen a few bloggers divided on the book — some seem to really hate it and some seem to really gel with it. My feelings lay somewhat in the middle of the road when it comes to this tale of Faustian bargains for revenge.

I straight up thought A Little Something Different was super cute and was super adorable. It was a perfect mid-week read for me — light reading with swoon peppered throughout. Although — confession: I wish there was more kissing.
