I picked up Frostbite: The Graphic Novel based on the series by Richelle Mead adapted by Leigh Dragoon illustrated by Emma Vieceli (what a mouthful!) because I had seriously whipped through the first adaptation of Vampire Academy in graphic novel form. Of course, I read this during the Dewey Readathon and it was one of the few books I got through (this was the same day that the Hale firestorm started). I knew that this would be a book I could get through quickly and where I wouldn’t have to concentrate too hard because I already knew the story and what to expect. And well, this book absolutely meets that whole Readathon purpose.

The Bodies We Wear by Jeyn Roberts | Book Review

I am left a bit conflicted on how I should feel. You know how some books are kind of really strange and you read them and you are like, what even is going on here, but you keep reading in hopes of understanding, and THEN you do end up understanding and you are like YES THIS ENDING ROCKS and you write the longest run on sentence ever? Well, that happened to me while reading The Bodies We Wear. I am going to warn you right now that this book is really strange and some parts do feel like a bit of a trudge to get through. I spent much of the book confused, however, I ended up pretty satisfied when everything came together and I was no longer in the dark.
Big Nate: Mr. Popularity by Lincoln Peirce | Book Review
Why Did I Read This Book? Honest to goodness you guys my reason for reading Mr. Popularity by Lincoln Peirce is kind of pathetic — I picked this book for the 24 Hour Readathon that I totally failed at because it is a comic book aimed at middle graders and following logic would be a super quick […]
Messenger Of Fear by Michael Grant | Book Review

I am kind of dreading writing this review, my friends. Here is the thing, I had super high hopes for Messenger Of Fear by Michael Grant. The concept sounded completely awesome — supernatural beings delivering retribution for misdeeds through use of a twisted game.
Stone Cold Touch by Jennifer Armentrout | Book Review

Layla, Zayne and Roth return in Jennifer L. Armentrout’s second Dark Elementals book, Stone Cold Touch. After the events in White Hot Kiss, Layla is picking up the pieces of her life. This is a book that does not start slowly, but instead starts off on an immediately interesting note. It does not go downhill from there, […]
The Doubt Factory by Paolo Bacigalupi | Audiobook Review
Why Did I Listen To This Book? All of the books that I’ve read by Paolo Bacigalupi are books that I have experienced via audiobook. And by all the books, I mean two books narrated by Joshua Swanson – Shipbreaker and The Drowned Cities. I really enjoyed those books on audio. For some odd reason, I tend […]
