Jackaby by William Ritter | Book Review

I feel like I have been anticipating reading Jackaby by William Ritter for like FOREVER. No, but seriously, it was a relatively decent book. Jackaby is described as Sherlock meets Dr. Who. As I’ve watched around fifteen minutes of Dr. Who, have only seen The Great Mouse Detective, I can’t quite testify to the accuracy of that comparison. What I can, however, testify to is the merits and drawbacks that I perceived while reading this book. On the whole, I liked Jackaby, yet it did not entirely gel with me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good book that’s worth recommending.

Far From You by Tess Sharpe | Book Review

The thing about books that are murder mysteries is that I am the most oblivious person and never able to figure out who the murderer is until the main character figures it out. This holds true for every mystery thriller book ever and also holds true for Far From You by Tess Sharpe. I went into Far […]

Killing Floor by Lee Child | Audiobook Review

Why Did I Listen To This Book? I somehow stumbled upon Killing Floor by Lee Child for free on Audible one day and thus, downloaded the audiobook because free legal things are awesome. The Half Life Of Molly Pierce by Katrina Leno | Book Review

As a total fanatic of numbers and stats and such when it comes to my own personal reading, I have come to really appreciate short books. I know, judge me if you want, but honestly, I love the boost they give to my goal achievement. The Half Life Of Molly Pierce by Katrina Leno is a […]

The Secrets Of Lily Graves by Sarah Strohmeyer | Book Review

Surprisingly, I’ve never read a Sarah Strohmeyer book before and by all indicators I would be into her writing. I’ve heard that her previous two YA books were light and fluffy and fun. The Secrets Of Lily Graves, however, is a departure from the alleged light, fluffy, fun read that I guess Smart Girls Get What They […]

All The Truth That’s In Me by Julie Berry | Book Review

Man, All The Truth That’s In Me is a total departure from the other Julie Berry book I read, Secondhand Charm. I am actually really okay with this. I like when authors try different things and I like it even more when they succeed at stepping outside the cute and adorable comfort zone. (From what I remember, Secondhand […]
