RL LaFever’s Nathaniel Fludd: Beastologist Series because The Unicorn’s Tale was a fast read featuring my favorite mystical creature EVER: UNICORNS! Also, this could totes appeal to kids because there’s pictures, funny lines, a boy main character, and STRONG female characters.

Book review-Fly Trap by Frances Hardinge has an awesome concept. Seriously, this novel is perfect if you LOVE Megan Whalen Turner. If you are patient enough for Eugenides’ story, you should also be patient enough for Mosca Mye. Also, if you love a good revolution or talk of a revolution, I absolutely recommend Fly Trap without reservation.

Book Review- the three Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place in Maryrose Wood’s book The Hidden Gallery. Alexander, Beowulf, and Cassiopeia were raised by wolves and mostly turned out all right. It’s up to their levelheaded governess, Penelope Lumley aka Lumawoo to civilize the children while unraveling a few secrets in London.

Friends, you need to know that A Monster Calls is not an easy, happy go lucky book. It is deep. It is painful. It will make you feel unless you have a heart of stone, in which case, why are you even reading my reviews considering how much I write about my emotional reactions. I absolutely think A Monster Calls is worth the emotional bombs it will drop on your soul.
