Breakable by Tammara Webber | Waiting On Wednesday

I think I might just make participating in Waiting On Wednesday one of my new things — you guys there are just so many books that I am excited about and so little time to read them all, that this kind of seems like a cool way to feature them and keep me excited. This week I am WAY EXCITED OMG for Breakable by Tammara Webber, the companion novel or prequel to Easy, told from Lucas’s point of view. OMG. CANNOT WAIT.

Breakable by Tammara Webber | Good Books And Good Wine

What is Breakable about?

He was lost and alone. Then he found her.
And the future seemed more fragile than ever.

As a child, Landon Lucas Maxfield believed his life was perfect and looked forward to a future filled with promise — until tragedy tore his family apart and made him doubt everything he ever believed.

All he wanted was to leave the past behind. When he met Jacqueline Wallace, his desire to be everything she needed came so easy…

As easy as it could be for a man who learned that the soul is breakable and that everything you hoped for could be ripped away in a heartbeat.

Note: “Breakableis not a sequel. It’s a prequel story from Landon and the Easy story from Lucas. …Breakableis Lucas’s story – for those of you who wanted inside his head. It can be read as a stand-alone of its own, or as a companion to Easy.

Why Am I So Excited?

  • I love companion novels, so this follows along with things I love.
  • Oh man you guys, Easy was one of my favorite new adult books, so I am excited to see what the story looks like from Lucas’s point of view.
  • IMAGINE ALL THE FEELS THAT WILL COME. ALL OF THEM. I can’t wait. Emotions you guys, emotions.
  • COLLEGE.
  • God damn this sounds dramatic and ooooo I want that sometimes.

  1. OMG!!! I loved “Easy” so this is amazing news for me. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book!

  2. I’ve always liked the WoWs because I’m terrible about remembering to look in the catalogues for upcoming releases! I really liked Easy and love that guy’s piercing — the cover definitely works (except, I want to cut that mullet off….swooshy bangs are fine but not with mullet, too!).

  3. You always choose the best GIFs, April.

Anyway, I really need to read Easy. I picked up the back last year, and I think it was one of my goals this year to read it . . . but I haven’t. Not much time left in the year to reach that goal.

  4. YES YES YES YES APRIL!!!! That’s all I really need to say about this book I think. SO EXCITED!!!!

  5. I want to be excited for this one since I loved Easy so much, but it scares me to revisit a story that I felt wrapped up so well. I know it’s not a sequel so the outcome won’t change, but it still scares me that I’ll somehow not like Lucas or Jacqueline after reading. Also, this is the first time I’m seeing the cover, and I’m kind of really bothered by how vampy Jacqueline looks. One of my favorite parts of Easy was what a normal, regular girl she was and that sex pot there, god bless her, is just not what I pictured.

  6. Oh my gosh I can’t believe this will be out soon. DYING to see this story from Lucas’ POV. I love companion novels too. And I love getting a different perspective on a story. Well, the stories I love as much as I loved EASY.

    Perfect Wow pick IMO.
