I am pretty sure Liar Society by Lisa And Laura Roecker is not a book that could’ve have it all, but a book that does have it all (minus unicorns and vampires.). Today I’d like to shut my mouth and welcome Lisa and Laura to my blog, as it’s my day for THE BLOG TOUR OF AWESOME.
For those without video capabilities:
1. Liar Society involves secret societies. Did you do any research for the book on Secret Societies? Come across anything interesting?
Lisa: Laura belonged to a secret society in college. Not sure if you’ve ever heard of the Skull and Bones? Only the University of Dayton chapter.
Laura: You’re hilarious. We did read a few books and did a bit of research online. What we found most interesting about secret societies in general were the rights of passage associated with becoming a member. For example, rumor has it that to become a Skull and Bones member, you have to recite your sexual history in front of all members. We tried to incorporate our own twist with the sacramentums in The Liar Society.
2. Liam, Kate’s love interest is by all appearances a bad boy. What were your high school crushes like?
Lisa: Well, I married my high school sweetheart, so I’m not in much of a position to answer. Lame.
Laura: Aww. My high school crushes were very mean to me. I have absolutely no idea why I ever liked any of them. Liam is more mysterious than he is mean, a bit misunderstood. He’s also hot and artistic, which totally works to his advantage.
3. Nancy Drew or Trixie Beldon?
Unanimous answer here:
LiLa: Nancy Drew or DIE.

The type of research you ladies do sounds so awesome! 😛
Hearing about your HS crushes was so fun! Great question, April!
And I’m gonna have to agree–Nancy Drew for the win!
Loved the interview! They are so much fun! I cannot wait to read this book!
Pacey in The Skulls!! That sounds like the best kind of research. And LiLa, you both are not lame…you entertain us, therefore lame is out of the question.
