  1. Pride of Baghdad, by Brian K. Vaughan

  2. Hm … my favourite comic at the moment is “The Walking Dead” followed closely by “Fables” – but I think that may be because I am still in Halloween mode.

I loved “Dark Holes” by Charles Burns, and “Blankets” … And the “Persepolis” books (I include “Embroideries in this) are just fantastic.

All that being said … I think for recommendation purposes, I am going to have to go with …. Scott Pilgrim. Not only is it set in the city I was born in (yay!) but it is quirky and fun, too.

Thanks for this post and the giveaway – Beautiful Darkness has been on my to-read list forever!

  3. Ok I am going to have to say James Pattersons Witch and Wizard: Battle for Shadowland. I Loved this book! and James Patterson is an amazing author!

Oh and Did I mention that I absolutely LOVED Beautiful Creatures and I would love to win an ARC of Beautiful Darkness hehe

Thanks! Been wanting this book! rivkarno1(at)hotmail(dot)com

  6. A huge surprise to me was when I read the Twilight Graphic Novel because even though I enjoyed the books, I hate the movie! But the graphic novel is so much subtler and much more like how I initially imagined the characters to be like.
And I don’t know if it’s true, but I heard there making or maybe already made a Mortal Instruments graphic novel which I would love to get my hand on!

  7. I agree with Vicky N. I love the Twilight graphic novel! and im also looking forward to reading the Mortal instruments and vampire academy graphic novels

  8. Thanks so much for holding this giveaway! If there is one graphic novel you should check out it’s One Piece! It’s a japanese graphic novel (or manga) but one of the greatest storylines I have ever read and the characters are hilarious 🙂

  12. I’ve never really read any graphic novels or comics. I’ve wanted to read some manga, like Dragon Ball Z or Vampire Knight, but I’ve never gotten around to it. I did read some Deadpool comics, but I read them online and I had no clue if I was reading the first one first. 😛
I love Batman, the X-men, and Spiderman in general though…one day I’ll pick up the comics 😉 lol

Thanks for the chance to win Beautiful Darkness 🙂

Hmm….I haven’t read a graphic novel before and didn’t think i ever will but when i heard Vampire Academy was being made into a Graphic Novel i practically screamed [with joy of cause] Dimitri Belikov would get a girl to do anything!

Since the movie is taking its time the G-novel is a way of bringing the amazing series to life and we sorta get to see the charactors descriptions….[facially of cause]
