I am actually really sad to see the weekend go. I will tell you that a few days off have been much needed. It’s been a bit rough over here on my end lately, but I am hanging in there. I can’t go into too many details, but suffice to say, I find myself really looking forward to rest and relaxation. On the upside, there have been some really fantastic books to come my way in the mail.
For Review:
In Your Dreams by Kristan Higgins (Unsolicited) – FRICK YES. Love this series.
Forbidden by Kimberley Griffiths Little (Unsolicited) – I am totally looking forward to this historical fiction young adult book.
Catalyst by SJ Kincaid (Unsolicited) – Again, super excited! I am pretty sure Allison is going to want to steal this immediately, so my plan is to read it soon.
Crashland by Sean Williams (Unsolicited) – I still need to read Twinmaker. So many books, so little time, am I right?
Empire Of Shadows by Miriam Forster (Unsolicited) – Looking forward to this sequel, unfortunately my copy is a bit waterlogged thanks to a certain someone, hahahaha.
The Harlem Hellfighters by Max Brooks (Requested Review Copy via Blogging For Books) – I saw this on Reader of Fictions and had to have it because historical graphic novels are totally my thing.
A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall (Unsolicited) – This is a duplicate copy. Totally going to have a giveaway.
Rumble by Ellen Hopkins (Unsolicited) – This package was serendipity, or at least, it felt that way.
100 Sideways Miles by Andrew Smith (Unsolicited) – I am hoping this is as awesome and weird as Grasshopper Jungle.
Winterspell by Claire Legrand (Unsolicited) – HOORAYYYYYYYYY!
From Netgalley/Edelweiss:
My True Love Gave To Me edited by Stephanie Perkins – FRICK YES. I love Christmas and short stories and Stephanie Perkins and all the authors featured in this anthology!
Blind by Rachel DeWoskin – This book sounds literary and sad and good.
Zac & Mia by AJ Betts – This book also sounds sad and has been getting some buzz.
The Boy In The Black Suit by Jason Reynolds – FRICK YEAH I AM SO EXCITED TO READ THIS. Jason Reynolds is so underrated, yet so great.
Good Dog: True Stories Of Love, Loss and Loyalty edited by Gun & Garden and David DiBenedetto – I seriously can’t resist short stories about dogs. I will probably sob the whole time.
Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy: Four Women Undercover In The Civil War by Karen Abbott – Could not resist this awesome book about actual historical women doing things.
Purchased:
Basically all the Batman comics for obvious reasons also, because they were on sale!
Batman: Year One by Frank Miller
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller
Batman: The Killing Joke by Alan Moore

Looks like you got a good batch of things here. You’re the 2nd person to rave about that book I’m going to buy it, graphic novels about history? ? I would have loved it even more than I did in school. I still haven’t read twinmaker I gotta get on that.
Wow, great haul this weel! Forbidden is one I have been wanting to read for so long, it looks so good and I adore the cover for it too. Zac & Mia is one I am hoping to get approved for on Netgalley, I love the look of that one. I hope you enjoy all of your books this week 🙂 Here’s my STS.
Sorry to hear that things have been rough…I’m sending good vibes to you. On the upside you did receive some rocking books! Yay for My True Love Gave to Me! I love holiday stories and a bunch of the authors featured. Max Brooks is such a funny guy and I’m sure his graphic novel is awesome. Have a great week 🙂
AHH!! Batman novels! I LOVE the Killing Joke! Now I want to reread my comics!
