Stacking The Shelves (66) | Book Haul | BIRTHDAY TODAY!

HELLO INTERNETS, today is my birthday and I am soooo old but hey at least I got some books this week right? So, I am drinking my coffee and putting off doing my hair and makeup before going to the local casino because I am SO insistent that this post be up today seeing as how I spent minutes singing and discussing my birthday. Fair warning, we’re about to get all kinds of weird in this vlog. In other news, I am reading the latest Jay Crownover book and yes, it is so very awesome.

For Review:

Miss Klute Is A Hoot by Dan Gutman (Unsolicited Review Copy) – Going to donate this one to children.

Back To School, Weird Kids Rule! by Dan Gutman (Unsolicited Review Copy) – Also one I will donate.

Sharing You by Molly McAdams (Unsolicited Review Copy) – Hmm.

A New Darkness by Joseph Delaney (Unsolicited Review Copy) – The colors match me in the video.

Not mentioned in the video but from Netgalley and Edelweiss:

Night Of A Thousand Stars by Deanna Raybourn – YESSSSSSSS. I love Deanna’s books so so so so much, so this was an instagrab.

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.

Happy Birthday!!!! As a relative newbie to the 30s club, it’s actually not that bad — so don’t fear the 30s!

  6. Hope you have a fabulous birthday!

  8. Happy Birthday, April! I hope you had lots of fun at the casino yesterday, and that your day was perfect 🙂 You are still really young, though, so don’t worry about kids and houses just yet – you have more than enough time for that later, still 🙂
I loved seeing your vlog, you are just as perky, sweet and funny as I imagined.
I hate reading about people who cheat, too, so I would not pick up Sharing You 🙁 It’s sad that some people find it romantic or whatever.

  9. Happy birthday, April! One of my best friends birthday is also July 5. I hope you had a great time.

The kids at the library LOVE the My Weird School books, so I’m sure those books will be well-loved.

Enjoy your books (exciting for Isla!) and happy reading.

  11. bahahah I haven’t watched any of your previous vlogs, but this one was hilarious! Happy birthday! And OMFG I turn 30 in December and I’m already having like a mid-life crisis about it, like I’m not married, no kids.. WHERE IS MY LIFE GOING. Except I’m not that disappointed about the kids part, not sure I want kids (is that horrid to admit?)

Anyway, loved the vlog, that Joseph Delaney book looks really good, going to add it to my wish list now! Hope you have an awesome time at the casino and that you have a great birthday with plenty of books or gift cards coming your way!

PS I also agree with you about that book – this is the first I’ve heard of it, but it sounds atrocious! And why mix up bipolar issues in with it?! Like mental illness isn’t excuse to cheat OR be cheated on. And that’s no longer a “relationship” per se, just an uberly fucked up situation!

  12. Happy Birthday! 27 was one of my best years ever (recently turned 30) so I hope it is for you too! Sharing You sounds all sorts of messed up, grr. I hope you are having a great weekend. Happy Reading!

  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TWINNIE! Belated birthday, anyway. I’m also a July 5th baby. Si much excitement! Your outfit is terribly cute, and by terribly, I mean awesomely 😀 I hope you enjoyed your day! I’m interested in what you’ll think of Night of A Thousand Stars and A New Darkness! Both have such cool titles AND covers, in my opinion 🙂

    Have a fabulous week, April!

  15. Happy belated birthday! (Side note: you have the same bday as my husband- yay Cancer)

Hope your birthday was a blast and you enjoy all your new books!

  16. Ahh, Happy Belated Birthday!! I so badly wish I wasn’t at work right now and I could watch your vlog. Well, I can, but I’ll have to wait till my lunch break, because we aren’t aloud to have our phones out during the day. bummer. But I do have to pee, I could always go in there now and watch. But then if I take too long everyone will think I’m #2 ing.

    Hmmmm, decisions decisions. lol.

Anyway, I’ll be back after I see what all this weirdness is about. I”m so glad you’re doing vlogs again. 🙂 And I hope you had a great birthday and 4th of July weekend.
