Wow, this last week went by so fast! I guess that’s what happens when your day is super busy! First off, I am almost done with the Couch To 5K app program. I have two more workouts left and I will have completed it. It amazes me how far I have come, as far as working out goes.I am also down to like 114 lbs which is 4 pounds away from my target weight. I realize that’s not like a huge deal or anything, but for me personally I am really, really proud of how hard I have worked to get into shape. Also! I made a pile of 40 books to read by BEA on Saturday and now I am more than halfway through book three. Yay goals!
For Review:
The Ophelia Prophecy by Sharon Lynn Fisher (Unsolicited) – I do need to try more sci-fi and learn to enjoy that genre.
The Secret Hum Of A Daisy by Tracy Holczer (Unsolicited) – I have legitimately heard nothing about this book but it looks like such an affecting contemporary!
Random by Tom Leveen (Unsolicited) – Another contemporary, this one looks serious too. Also, the cover is one of my favorites.
The Book Of David by Anonymous (Unsolicited) – Meh. It’s from the same collection as that Go Ask Alice book which is like the worst.
Catch A Falling Star by Kim Culbertson (Unsolicited) – Love this cover!
Don’t Call Me Baby by Gwendolyn Heasley (Unsolicited) – Looking forward to this one, actually.
Prisoner Of Night And Fog by Anne Blankman (Unsolicited) – This is one gorgeous finished copy.
Learning Not To Drown by Anna Shinoda (Unsolicited) – This looks like an interesting contemporary book.
Call Me By My Name by John Ed Bradley (Unsolicited) – Yay football!
Strange And Ever After by Susan Dennard (Unsolicited) – Seriously I need to finish this series.
Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.

Wow, April, I had no idea you had lost so much weight. I’ve gained A LOT of weight in the last few years during college and I’m really getting to the point where I know I need to get serious about losing it. I’m just super uncomfortable and I barely recognize myself in the mirror lately. Your achievement is really inspiring!
Don’t Call Me Baby was really, really fluffy. I don’t know why I expected more depth, but I did… It was still good, but just a super quick read. Learning Not to Drown, on the other hand, was really intense and different. I liked it a lot.
Happy reading!
I know what you mean about how interracial relationships shouldn’t be a big deal, but it still is. I’ve heard some things, too, and it’s always shocking.
I’m most definitely terrible at finishing series. It’s crazy. Maybe the next book I read will be one that will finish up a series for me. I should do that. I am going to BEA! So excited!
Congratz on the goals! It feels SO good to check off big and small goes and weight loss goals are NEVER easy! So that’s definitely something to feel proud about!
The Prisoner of Night and Fog is one of those books that’s on my “I’m interested in” list but I haven’t read any of those books you got this week either. I’m glad most of them sound interesting to you, sometimes it can be touch and go with the unsoliciteds – and I feel so bad/guilty if I don’t like an unsolicited or don’t get to it because of other schedule restraints.
Have a fantastic week! And congratz again!
Good luck reading all of those books by BEA! I still won’t be going, but I hope you have a great time.
I’ve heard good things about THE PRISONER OF NIGHT AND FOG. And I still need to read Susan Dennard’s books! They sound great.
I’m reading Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore and Burning by Elana K. Arnold at the moment. It’s a weird combination but it works for me!
I need to start Susan Dennard’s series. I have had the first one for years now. Congrats on almost reaching your goal and have fun at BEA!
Woohoo for almost completing the C25K training!! I never made it past week three, but I did change up how I was training and I am seeing more results that way. Cheering you on for those last two workouts! *waves pompoms*
*high fives* Awesome job on the Couch to 5k program! I just started it. It’s hard! *whines* But I know it’ll get easier.
Lots and lots and lots of awesomeness! I have my review of Prisoner of Night and Fog going live on Friday. Fun stuff! Good luck with the program! 😀
Also, I have a list of bloggers who want to borrow The Perilous Sea, so if you want me to add to the list, I will 🙂
Thanks for visiting my blog!
