Top Ten Items On My Bookish Bucket List | Top Five Books For New Readers

Basically because I am on my deathbed (not really, just over-exhausted) I never edited and uploaded a vlog that I made for Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by The Broke And The Bookish) yesterday. I also decided to expand my vlog participation and take part in Top Five Wednesday hosted by Ginger Reads Lainey (you can find all the participants here)

And so, now I am loading both videos today, hope you enjoy some bookish chatter and such.

  1. I loved your videos, April. So for the TTT, one – I would love to go to Prince Edward Island, as well. A coworker of mine, and her daughter, drove up there, a few years ago, and she had nothing but amazing things to say about her experiences. I think she said that they listened to Anne of Green Gables on audio during their drive, and I thought that was a brilliant idea!

I also have a confession – I don’t hate the Twilight books either. In fact, I actually kind of like the first book. The other ones are okay. I actually get kind of annoyed when people act like anyone who liked Twilight is an idiot. I mean, it’s totally cool if you don’t like it, but respect people’s opinions, right?

I think you would make a wonderful librarian! The kids and teens would love you.

And I just love what you said about Harry Potter, and I feel the same way, too.

  2. You’re continuing w/ the vlogs, yay! Please get going w/ GOT series, so worth it. I started listening to the audio books back in September. I’m now on A Dance A With Dragons, just have the epilogue to finish but I’m now huddled in a corner crying because of what just happened πŸ™ My bookish bucket list would consist of reading the entire works of an author like Brandon Sanderson.

  3. So, people you want to meet…Rae Carson, Stephen King – and me and Jen. Haha, I love the company I’m in there πŸ˜‰

I want to meet you too – preferably WITH Stephen King! I’m sorry Oklahoma is in the middle of nowhere. Sigh.

The thought of actually reading through all of my unread books basically makes me laugh. I just don’t know if it’ll ever happen.

  4. Hey April,

This is the first time I’ve watched your vlogs; I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to understand your accent (I’m British. Welsh to be specific, and I usually struggle with accents). I also have hearing difficulties, and currently have a sinus infection, which makes it worse, but I could understand almost all of what you were saying, which is brilliant! I will definitely be watching future vlogs. It’s so much more personal than typing up a list. Thanks for doing them. πŸ™‚

Also, two of the books you recommended I have added to my Goodreads list. πŸ™‚ The Phantom Tollbooth and The Girl Who…

  5. Prince Edward Island is gorgeous. I’ve been the past two summers. I stayed at Green Gables Cottages and it’s quite a decent price. The red sand beaches are great and you can go see Anne the Musical πŸ™‚
