My #BEA14 Resolutions

In which I vlog and am somewhat amusing and totally butcher LotR.

Here’s a quick Run Down of my resolutions:

  • Don’t get sick!
  • Be less shy.
  • Hand out business cards.
  • Don’t be “that guy.”
  • Obtain Mortal Heart no matter the cost.
  • Take all the pictures.
  • Limit the books I obtain.
  • Read ALL the BEA books by January 2015.
About April (Books&Wine)

April is in her 30s and created Good Books And Good Wine. She works for a non-profit. April always has a book on hand. In her free time she can be found binge watching The Office with her husband and toddler, spending way too much time on Pinterest or exploring her neighborhood.

  1. I have a lot of similar resolutions. I just bought new cards, so yay! they don’t have my address on it just in case creepers. My limit for books is around 30. Mostly because back issues as well as wanting to read them in a timely manner.

I’m also terrible at taking pictures! Agh. Bringing my nice camera (that I use to make my videos) so hopefully that will get me to take pictures with my favorite people!

  2. Oo, I like the last one, I’m going to try for that as well since I’d feel rather horrible if I snagged an ARC just to not read it…. Though I kind of need to get caught up with my current review copies too *dies in a pile* BUT! By keeping this goal in mind, I might be better able to resist grabbing too many, haha.

  3. I’m afraid there might be a dog pile of some sort surrounding Mortal Heart. Every blogger I’ve talked to (including me) is salivating for it. But I won’t elbow or bite you over it! And YES to your list!

  6. Can you please, please, please pretty please hug Garth Nix for me? Or at least tell him I think he’s amazing! I love, love, love the Abhorsen trilogy + am super excited for Clariel.

I’m in total agreement when it comes to the pictures! I took quite a few last year, but I definitely want to take more (and GOOD ones) this year. I hope I get to say hi to you again, and take a photo too!

(Plus, I total need Mortal Heart too. Let us descend upon the booth with a master plan to grab it!)

I’m also hoping to really narrow down the books I pick up. I did get a lot less books last year than the year before, but I’d still like to tone it down even more to the ones that are just MUST haves for me. Hopefully, I’m good about this!

This year, I’m just looking forward to being more relaxed. I’d ideally want to meet more bloggers in person! (And snag photos for epic selfies too.)

Looking forward to seeing you 🙂

  7. you can just cut all the awkward talking with Garth Nix and carry around bells instead and just flail them loudly whenever Garth is near.

    fool proof plan I swear.

put ’em around your neck if you want. Kill two birds with one bell.
