wait, you mean Five Summers isn’t about the KGB? I feel betrayed, tbh.
You should feel betrayed. I mean, what is camp if not pretending like it’s the Cold War and running from the KGB in the woods?
Just recently read and loved, loved, loved IN THE AFTER. Planning to read I’LL GIVE YOU THE SUN and Stephanie Perkins’ books this month as well leading up to ISLA. Awesome list!
Oh, I am so glad that In The After is good.
I want desperately to re-read the Stephanie Perkins books. I think I might do that.
Thanks Melody!
Ooooh this is a tough one. I LOVED In The After but I also loved Boomerang. So either of those would be a great start.
I am glad both are really good. I am so excited about In The After and oh man, Boomerang has my expectations really high.
Thanks so much for commenting!
You are sooo good with the TBR lists, April. I can never really schedule my reading like that because I am always changing my mind.
I really need to read more Gene Luen Yang books. I loved American Born Chinese, and I generally don’t even like graphic novels that much.
Good luck!
I like the challenge of a TBR pile, ya know? Like, I feel like if I can finish a month’s TBR then for the rest of the month I can just read whatever. Also I get this big bizarre satisfaction of crossing things off a list.
Gene Luen Yang is the best. If your library has Boxers & Saints, I would recommend checking it out.
Thanks!
