Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR

It’s my favorite Top Ten Tuesday subject! The TBR one! So, you guys I did pretty good on the winter TBR TTT, the only book I have left is Sorrow’s Knot, which I am partway through but have set aside because I can’t concentrate on it. Anyways. Here’s my spring list. Also, I totally said on twitters that I would do a vlog for this and you guys I filmed one using a different camera, but it was terrible, so maybe I will do a vlog after work today of these books and tell you why I want to read them.

Spring 2014 TBR

What are the books?

The Shadows by Jacqueline West

This One Summer by Jillian Tamaki and Mariko Tamaki

Summer And Bird by Katherine Catmull

Infinite by Jodi Meadows

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

Deep Blue by Jennifer Donnelly

The Kiss Of Deception by Mary E. Pearson

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

Shadows by Robin McKinley

Mambo In Chinatown by Jean Kwok

Are any of these books on your Spring TBR? Have you read any of them? What is on you list? Let me know in the comments.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke And The Bookish.

  1. I am dying to read Winner’s Curse…I’ll keep my eye out for your review. Deep Blue sounds pretty good…I love Jennifer Donnelly! Morgan Matson’s latest is definitely on my must-read list. She is one of my favorites!

  2. Ah, The Winner’s Curse! I desperately need to read that book. All the good things I’ve heard about it are all just fabulous. I think I may wait a while for the hype to die down first. I’ve been the victim of over-hyped books and I really don’t want it to happen with this one 🙂

  3. OH OH OH Shadows by Robin McKinley! That one is fabulous. I loved it so much! I can’t tell you why I loved it because it’s a major spoiler, but it fulfilled one of my “reader wishlist” items. I hope you like it!

  5. I have Summer & Bird on my list too. I wanted to read Sorrows Knot I heard about it from Book Rat Misty, right now I’m on a contemporary kick I’m not even fighting it. I’m just reading all the books on my last that match that criteria. The rest sound interesting, can’t wait to read your reviews.

  6. INFINITE ahhhhhhhhh. Ahhhhhh. Ahhhhhhhhhh! I can’t even. I’m so sad it’s over! But so excited for the new duology!!! And more ahhhhhhs for THE WINNER’S CURSE and THE KISS OF DECEPTION (Which I just finished this weekend and it blew up my brain! Majjjjjor hangover!) I heard about DEEP BLUE for the first time this year at ALA, and OMG, MERMAIDS! So excited!!!! I want to read SUMMER AND BIRD and SHADOWS, too!! Great choices!

  7. I’ve been meaning to read The Books of Elsewhere: The Shadows for ages! Seriously, when it arrived at my library, I was all I NEED TO READ THIS. And now . . . I still haven’t. I feel like I say that ALL THE TIME. I need to stop doing that.

Anyway, none of these books are on my TTT for Spring Reading, but I never stick to my planned TBR lists. I hope you like them all.

  9. I’ve only heard of the Winner’s curse 🙂 Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  10. I love Robin McKinley! I read Shadows right after Christmas (got it as a gift!). It was great – more like Sunshine than any of her other books.

  11. I LOVE that they sent red heart-shaped sunnies as part of the promo, can’t wait for Morgan’s new book!

Robin McKinley – you’re another fan of hers! A friend sent me one of her books because she’s a fan too but I had never even heard of her until recently.

Summer & Bird! I bought a hardcover while in the US last year just because of all the birds, it looks and sounds wonderful

  13. I absolutely adore that you wore the heart-shaped sunglasses in this video! They are SERIOUSLY adorable and you look cute 😀

Blogilates will be the death of my body in the best way.

Also, your Spring TBR sounds pretty amazing! I want to read This One Summer (which sounds amazing, and I can’t wait for), Summer and Bird (MG fantasy with SISTERS. Yes, please!), Since You’ve Been Gone and The Kiss of Deception. I’m excited that you are reading Infinite (which I LOVED)!

I think I’ll be reading a lot of contemporaries this spring, including Since You’ve Been Gone. But I’m also excited to finally read the Under the Never Sky series!
