Weekly TBR Vlog | July 21 – POSTING LATE

Because I am the worst, I am posting this super awesome TBR video late. I’ve decided that I want to make TBR videos because they keep me an honest woman. Also? They are fun to make and do not take that much time to watch and record as there’s no way I can read 10 books in a week unless it’s readathon time. I actually recording this video on the 21st and have read three of the books mentioned already. I figure this is a good compromise from my resolution where I said I would make a TBR vlog each month. What do you all think? Have you read the books I mentioned? ALSO! Tell me what is on your TBR!!

On my TBR Pile for the week of July 21:

Zits: Chillax by Jerry Scott – I’ve already read this one and thought it was quite funny and good for the Wimpy Kid crowd. (Goodreads)

The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas – I finished this last night and OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE MAKE IT RAIN LOVE, is all I am saying. (Goodreads)

Yaqui Delgado Wants To Kick Your Ass by Meg Medina – I finished this one literally half an hour ago, it was really good! I mean, I like reading stories about bullying. Also it’s set in the City. And the characters are Latina, which yay, diversity! (Goodreads)

Arclight by Josin L. McQuein – I got quite a few copies of this in the mail, so basically the guilt has pressed down upon me. I am actually starting this today after I finish typing this post up and getting ready for work. (Goodreads)

This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales – Because Leila Sales is the best and you should always save the best for last, and you know I like to switch genres so I don’t get totally burnt out. (Goodreads)

  1. Oh my gosh, I could never state what books I’m going to read each week, and I’m so jealous that you have that discipline. 🙂 I’m just never sure what I am going to be in the mood to read.

Anyway, I’m excited for these weekly TBR videos. Super fun! Good luck getting all those books read.

  2. I don’t have the time to make one every week, but that’s a good idea, because it allows for flexibility and last minute awesome books in you mail.
When I started doing TBR vlogs, I wasn’t sure how long it would last – I wanted to try it to help myself get back on track and to have some accountability and unity through out the month, but I thought it might get old or feel forced. Never did though, and I’m still going strong and loving how it makes me think ahead, AND the chance to share and talk about what I’ll be reading, and get reactions. It’s been interesting.
Hope it helps you, too. =)

  3. I liked Arclight but I didn’t love it. I liked it enough to continue on to the second book, but something was missing.

I will be reading The Burning Sky too and I cannot wait to get to it. I’m a little further behind in my review books though so yeah.

Great list this week! Oh, and I love that you are vlogging more.

  4. I legit just tweeted you a couple of hours ago about The Burning Sky, because I remembered seeing you tweet about it. The fact that you LOVED it has me so, so, SO excited to read it over the weekend. YES.

Also. This Song Will Save Your Life. It’s really good! I liked it a lot, particularly the musical references in it.

  5. What an awesome idea of a weekly TBR video. I give you props though…5 is even more books than I could get through in a week, but I’m a slower reader.

  6. I love your list! Particularly because it includes THE BURNING SKY and THIS SONG WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE which are both BOSS. For different reasons, but amazing novels nonetheless. This Song is my soul book, I feel like Leila really lands what it feels like to be in Elise’s position and then she makes you come alive as Elise does once she finds her true passion. And then THE BURNING SKY is just an epic fantasy that gave me a lot of anticipation for what’s to come.

Arclight looks really cool also and I’ve seen that bad boy everywhere so I’ve been kinda sorta wanting to try it. I can’t wait to see what you think about it 😀
