Friday Finds (1)

This afternoon when I (Allison) was doing some searching for a few new review blogs to check out I came across a blog called Should Be Reading. After looking over the blog, and reading a few of her reviews, I realized that she hosts a weekly event on Friday called Friday Finds where you share the book titles you discovered or heard about during the past week — a recap of sorts. I immediately decided to participate. I think it’s a fun idea, and it will hopefully help put the books that I’ve recently added to my TBR list over the past week into a little bit of a collective order of sorts.

Here we go!

Vessel by Sarah Beth Durst
Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
Hanging by a Thread by Sophie Littlefield
Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock
The Truth About Faking by Leigh Talbert Moore
The Luxe by Anna Godbersen
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon
The S-Word by Chelsea Pitcher
How (Not) To Find A Boyfriend by Allyson Valentine Schrier
The Theory of Everything by Kari Luna
Five Summers by Una LaMarche
Fly Away by Kristin Hannah

Pretty intense list, right? Have you heard about any of them?
If so, what are your thoughts?

  1. I’ve read Perfect Chemistry, those books are ok but not great and I’ve heard of the Luxe

I like this feature, it’s a great way to share more books with everyone!

  2. I read The Curious Incident in high school. It was pretty interesting because the narrator was so different than anything I’d read before.

  3. I read The Curious Incident a few years ago and loved it. It is one of my favorite books. It definitely gives you insight on the autism spectra.

  4. I’m SO excited about Five Summers, How (Not) To Get A Boyfriend and The Theory of Everything..just squeed all about them on my blog recently! SO YEAH! But SOOO LONG UNTIL WE GET THEM. BOO.

Also, LOVED The Curious Incident of Dog in The Night-Time!!

  5. I recommend The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Nighttime. Unfortunately I haven’t heard of any of the others. Have a great weekend!

  6. The Curious Incident is a great book. I’ll need to let my wife know about the Kristin Hannah book. She’s read almost everything else she wrote. Welcome to Friday Finds and my FF post is HERE.

  7. So, I read The Luxe series, and I really enjoyed it. Light easy reading packed with plenty of drama, so right up my alley. I would definitely reccomend it to anyone who enjoyed books such as Gossip Girl, It Girl or Pretty Little Liars. And maybe even The Vampire Diaries. (Clearly this should be the CWs next new show!)

    Happy reading!

  8. Oh, it’s a nice meme!!!
🙂 I need to check out some of those books 😀
