Oh, you guys. I went a little nuts buying books on my Kindle again. AND THEN when I read strong reviews by bloggers, I borrowed from my library. At this point, I think my TBR is as big as Mount Everest. In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren.
For Review:
Secrets of Shakespeare’s Grave by Deron R. Hicks (Vine) – Peeps, I shallowly love this cover. PLUS! I love middle grade and mysteries and quests and the idea of Shakespeare. Ah! I am so pumped up to read this book.
The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle (Vine) – Bro, the Amish and vampires. I legit do not need to explain my reasoning any further.
Library:
Small Damages by Beth Kephart – FYA gave this book a fantastic review and really talked up the writing and the swoon, so I figured I need to read this to see what the fuss was about. Plus, Kephart just seems like a very kind author so I’d like to make an effort to read and review more of her books.
Memory Boy by Will Weaver – The Book Smugglers gave Memory Boy an awesome review and although my cover is totally whack, I look forward to this cuz the Smugglers don’t play around when it comes to reviewing books, thus I trust.
Purchased:
Scars by Cheryl Rainfield (Kindle — FREE) – I’ve been curious about this book for awhile and when I saw that it was available for free on Kindle, I immediately decided to get it. It’s a YA book about cutting and a girl who survives horrific sexual abuse. So, deep and important topics.
Your Scandalous Ways by Loretta Chase (Kindle) – This book was on sale for $1.99 and since I can’t quite resist inexpensive historical romance books, I one-clicked it.
Last Romanov by Doara Levy Mossanen (Kindle) – FREE Sourcebooks published read about The Romanovs. Obviously, I had to buy that.
Scarlet by AC Gaughen (Kindle) – This noise was also on sale for $2.99 and has been on my wishlist for FOREVER because omg a girl dressing as a guy and my friends all love it so of course I impulse clicked.
Castles by Julie Garwood (Kindle) – I already own this in print, but friends it was only A PENNY for Kindle and what the heck, at that price I’ll buy it again.
Under The Rose by Diana Peterfreund (Kindle) – This was not on sale at all, however I just read Secret Society Girl on Tuesday so I absolutely had to have the next book in the series and since my library only has Secret Society Girl I will have to purchase the rest of the series to read it.
An Introduction To The Eternal Collection by Barabra Cartland (Kindle) – Okay this was FREE and it’s got like 3 or 4 romance books.
Withering Tights by Louise Rennison (Kindle) – This was like 99 cents and I wasn’t sure how long it was on sale, so I had to snatch it up.
The Girl Of Fire And Thorns by Rae Carson (Kindle) – I LOVE THIS BOOK FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER so I figured I should buy a copy while it is on sale for my Kindle. At some point when I cull my physical books, I am going to have to order a hardcover of this book for my shelves.

Your Scandalous Ways is awesome – like any other Loretta Chase book.
Secrets of Shakespeare’s Grave? What is this craziness? WANT.
Oh, I’m really curious about The Hallowed Ones after a lot of people saying how awesome it was. Really excited to see the reviews roll in. Just hype or seriously amazing?
Awesome books!! I really need to get a copy of The Girl of Fire and Thorns … it’s sooooo good!
And The Hallowed Ones looks amazing!!
Enjoy your reading! 🙂
The Hallowed Ones, yes. I want to read that. Vampires. Mmmhmm.
I still need to read Girl of Fire & Thorns. I don’t know why I keep putting off reading books that all my friends love. I DON’T KNOW.
“The Amish and vampires…” Wow. There’s a pairing I’d never imagine. I’ll have to see what you think about it before I investigate any further. 😉
I have been wanting to read Scars for so long. I just checked to see if it was free on Kobo, but alas. 😉 I think I want a physical copy of that though. I like my issue books.
ROMANOV FEVAH.
We has it.
Those all sound great! I’ll check a few of them out! Thanx for sharing them!
