Hey y’all! I AM SO FREAKIN EXCITED. Why? Okay so you know how pissy I was last time at missing the sign ups for Bout Of Books, because I love a good readathon? Okay WELL, one of my friends, I forget who tweeted recently about Bout Of Books coming up and OMG OMG I signed up IN TIME. I KNOW. Anyways, I already made a photo pile of potential reads on my floor.
But first a few details via the Bout Of Books Blog:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal.  It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 13th and runs through Sunday, August 19th in whatever time zone you are in.  Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week.  There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional.  For all Bout of Books 5.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. -From the Bout of Books 5.0 team
The Books:
My Goals:
- To read at least 100 pages of A Clash Of Kings because I have been wanting to start this one forever.
- Â To read at least 3 of the books in the picture.
- To read at least 1 Netgalley book
- To listen to at least one audiobook (I work the whole week so I will listen during my commute and while working on things at the office)
- To visit at the very least 10 new to me blogs
- Comment on the blogs of people who are already friends who are participating in Bout Of Books
- After finishing each book write one cursory page of notes on feelings and impressions to make reviewing the books easier
So, which book should I start with?

I am also participating in BoB. I liked Don’t Turn Around- I hope you enjoy it. I hope you have fun and enjoy your books 🙂
Yay for participation! I don’t think I managed to sign up for the last one either. Made me sad. 🙁 But I’m so freaking excited for this one!!!
I think you should start with Crown of Embers … then I can read it vicariously through you. It looks AWESOME!
Have a good week!
You have such an awesome reading list, I really want to read Something Strange and Deadly! Good luck with reaching your goals! 🙂
I’ve been meaning to read Clash of Kings forever. Maybe I should pick it up. You have some really great goals and I love that you included an audiobook. I hope you meet all your goals.
Glad you caught the sign-up in time! It should be a fun week. Good luck with your goals and have fun!
Throne of Glass!!! Or Crown of Embers! Either. I loved Throne of Glass and I’m sure Crown of Embers will be just as amazing as The Girl of Fire and Thorns 🙂
Have fun with the readathon!
I will have to sign up for this too! I participated one year but I think I missed the last one also. I like your goal to write down your thoughts after you finish each book. Great idea! Especially if you are reading a lot of books so you can keep everything fresh. I sometimes end up not writing reviews because I’ve waited to long or forgotten what I thought.
I am currently reading A Game of Thrones a little at a time so maybe one of my goals will be to read some more chapters.
I know everyone is excited about Throne of Glass but I can’t wait to read The Crown of Embers. I loved the first book.
Wow, what a great-looking book stack xD I’d say go for Throne of Glass because I looooved it! Stormdancer is also on my list.. I’m hoping to start that one very soon 🙂 Have a great week!
Good luck in completing your goals this week! I’ve read some great reviews of Throne of Glass, I’ll be interested to see what you think of it =) Happy reading!
Which book should you start with? Crown of Embers of course! Then please please do a review because that is one book I am dying to read!
HOLD ON – I think I saw… is it Stormdancer? Sigh. That would be conundrum!
Can’t wait to see what you think!
This is my first ever rad-a-thon and I am excited. Love the books you selected for bout of books! I am at the end of my first book for the read-a-thon: Crossed by Ally Condie.
Here’s my Bout of Books post!
