What's Next? (2)

Hi everyone, it’s Allison!

Here’s how it works:

  • Every Thursday, select three-five books (not too many, not too little!) that you want to read but can’t decide which one to read first.
  • Post the cover, and if you want, the synopsis or even a random line from the book, for each of your selections.
  • At the end of your post, ask readers to vote on which one you should read next!
  • Even if you don’t end up reading your readers’ top choice, you’ll know what the majority is excited for.

What’s Next is hosted by Hafsah at Iceybooks

Last week the votes for The Fault in Our Stars were overwhelming, and as I’ve started reading it I can totally see why. I LOVE IT! I am really looking forward to reviewing it sometime soon. Now I need help deciding what I might read after I’m finished with TFIOS. I’ve narrowed it down to three books again and this week has a theme: ROMANCE!

One Perfect Rose (Fallen Angels #7)

1) The Perfect Rose — Mary J. Putney

Stephen Kenyon, Duke of Ashburton, has always taken the duties of his rank seriously—until shocking news sends him running from his isolating world of wealth and privilege to roam the countryside as an ordinary man. When he meets the lovely Rosalind Jordan, a foundling who has grown into an enchanting, compassionate woman, she stirs the deepest desires of his heart. Yet how can Stephen declare his love when he is haunted by the knowledge that made him flee his old life? And how can Rosalind risk loving a man who fulfills her secret dreams but can never be hers?

Dangerous Attractions

2) Dangerous Attractions — Colleen Easton

After surviving a shipwreck off the coast of the Florida Keys, Geena Whitworth, a Boston heiress fleeing from scandal in her hometown, gets the surprise of her life when she discovers that her childhood friend, Eli Blaylock is alive and well. Eighteen years before, she thought Blaylock had been killed in the same Seminole Indian attack that had, tragically, taken the life of her father. Now a prominent sea captain, Blaylock helps rescue Geena from the sinking ship – and although he is engaged to be married, both find it increasingly difficult to overlook their growing, and dangerous attraction that is blossoming in the intense, tropical heat.

Some Kind of Wonderful

3) Some Kind of Wonderful – Barbara Freethy

It’s the kind of story investigative reporter Matt Winters writes about — not the kind he wants to be living. When he discovers a newborn baby girl on his doorstep, he panics … then he desperately turns to his temptingly pretty neighbor Caitlyn Devereaux for help. After all, women are supposed to know everything about babies. Caitlyn’s natural sensuality intrigues Matt … and her aching vulnerability as she holds the precious bundle piques his curiosity. The wedding gowns she creates are famous for fulfilling every bride’s fantasies, yet she firmly says that marriage — and motherhood — are not for her. But her kisses suddenly have Matt dreaming of something wonderful — and soon he’s determined to get this reluctant woman to change her mind.

So…three different types of romance….which one should I read first?
