If you follow me on the twitters, you probably already know that I want to accomplish a few goals by BEA. One of those goals consists of reading and getting rid of 25 review books by BEA which I leave for in 35 days.
Here’s the stack:
I’ve read two so far Graveminder by Melissa Marr and Strings Attached by Judy Blundell, which leaves me 23 books and 7,214 pages to read which averages to 206 pages a day which is completely doable. I plan on reading The Peach Keeper next followed by Divergent followed by finishing Abandon. Any other must move to the top of the stack suggestions?
I also plan on losing about 10 lbs by BEA. Again this is doable if I keep working out and stop eating junk and drinking soda.
So kids, do you have any pre-BEA goals?

I vote you read Family, Instructions for a Broken Heart, and My Life, The Theatre, and Other Tragedies in the near future. This is purely selfish. I want to hear what you think about them.
I will definitely read those in the near future, then.
WHERE SHE WENT.
I did love If I Stay… so yes, this one soon.
It’s not a “must” but Human.4 was a really quick read, you can bang that bad boy out in a couple hours. I just finished the Zadoff book and it was cute (also a speedy read). OMG, Where She Went must get priority it’s one of my favs so far in 2011
Quick reads are good when it comes to accomplishing goals and decimating review pile!
I vote on Steel and Where She Went. Steel was awesome, but don’t have high hopes for the romance.
So jealous you’re going to BEA! I’m already in NY, but I’m under 18 and have school that I can’t miss. π
Enjoy it extra for me π
I don’t always need romance.
I’m in NY too, already. Boo to school.
I will totes enjoy it all the more just for you.
The only two in that pile I’ve read are Entwined and Blood and Flowers, and I don’t think you need to push either to the top of your pile. However, I did want to say GOOD LUCK! You can totally achieve both of those goals.
That’s helpful to me, in my prioritizing.
I vote for HOURGLASS next.
and blood and flowers. and Deasires of the Dead was great.
Graveminder would be my first read too. (and if you dont have room for ARC’s cause your going to BEA. I would gladly trade you something for Graveminder.)

Okay, I will read Hourglass after Abandon then! I’ve read a ton of great reviews for it.
such an exciting pile! I’ve only read where she went but I do plan to read abandon, the peach keeper and blood and flowers pretty soon myself! so jealous about some of those arcs though can’t wait to see what you think.
It does look pretty impressive all stacked!
I just finished The Peach Keeper yesterday, it’s soo good. If you enjoy Addison, I think you will really enjoy her latest.
I would be happy to take Divergent off your hands (if you’re ever looking for new homes for these friends). My pre-BEA goal is to figure out how to get there for at least a day or two. My work schedule is insane that week, but I’m trying.
I hope you are able to get to BEA!!
Wow! That is an awesome goal! I think you can do it. I have a goal to read 30 books from my TBR pile in the next six months but after reading this post, I think I need to shorten the amount of time needed. π Good luck on all of your goals!
I think it’s possible to do 30 books in three months, if you don’t have a bunch of other things taking up your time.
Thank you!
That’s a lot of books! Good luck. :/ I really don’t have too many goals before BEA. I do want to make some room in my bookshelves though. I will definitely need more space!
Oh, you totally have to clear space. I tell ya, BEA is like grownup candyland.
I just finished Desires of the Dead – it was really really good!
Good luck with your goals – I agree, totally doable if you’re willing to put in the effort. Good luck!
Thank you! I did enjoy The Body Finder, hopefully Desires is just as enjoyable.
*sneaks in and steals The Peach Keeper*
Hoping you won’t notice that. I’ll just tell you what to write for your review after I finish reading it. π
Well, I finished Peach Keeper yesterday, so it is totally cool for you to steal it.
Wow girl you are on top of things! 10 pounds in 35 days though? That’s intense! Can’t wait to see you there!
I doubt it will happen, but maybe if I stop with the junk food and actually get to exercising, I can do it.
Wow…that’s a pretty big challenge! I hope you are able to accomplish all of your pre-BEA goals π
I’m trying to finish reading all of my review books before I leave!
Thank you Lindsi.
Best of luck to you in finishing your review books as well π
Girl, this is an awesome idea! I think I’ll make my own list!
As far as recommendations go…you’ve gotta read Chime and Divergent. They’re fantastic. I’ve heard great things about Hourglass, too, but I’ve yet to read it. =)
I hope you do make a list, I will be glad to see it π
Also, I am loving Divergent so far and can’t believe I did not start it as soon as I got it.
DARKNESS BECOMES HER.
Well, if that isn’t a ringing endorsement for Darkness Becomes Her, than I don’t know what is.
Wowza 25 books in 35 days is a huge goal. Good luck getting through all the pretty, pretty books (strokes monitor in a non-creepy way).
It’s possible though, and I’m almost done with one of the bigger chunksters. I think it all depends on how engaging the books are.
I’d like to get a dozen books read & reviewed pre-BEA. Also, I hope to create an agenda for myself. We’ll see if that happens.
Cheers!
Melissa
