A beautiful story about the magic of childhood Christmas memories, the strength of family and falling in love when you least expect it.
Fans of Carole Matthews, Susan Wiggs and Scarlett Bailey – and anyone who loves the sound of Christmas songs and the sparkle of decorations on the tree – will adore this festive holiday treat!
Everyone loves Christmas – don’t they?
Carrie Blake loves her job as a nanny but, while her friends are settling down, all of Carrie’s spare time is spent with other people’s families. Though it breaks her heart, her New Year’s resolution is to embark on a new career and fix her love life.
As Carrie starts her last job, she’s sure she’ll be going out on a high – the house is amazing, the kids are adorable, and she’s in charge of decorating the tree!
The only problem could be her boss… Single dad Adam Fletcher might be both handsome and successful, but he’s always working. Doesn’t he realise he’s missing out on precious moments with his son and daughter?
As Adam’s family arrive for Christmas, including his sensitive sister, Sharon, and his fun-loving, elderly Grandpa, Walter, Carrie realises that she might just have found the perfect allies in her quest to persuade Adam to loosen up. There’s still time for Carrie to make this the best Christmas ever… After all, Christmas is the time for miracles, isn’t it? Let the festivities begin!
Readers are falling in love with Jenny Hale’s novels…
‘I instantly fell in love with this book and its characters, especially Carrie... I loved the way that she injected fun and Christmas spirit into the children and eventually Adam. This is a book that made me feel warm and cosy inside and I know I will want to read it every Christmas, it has the perfect mix of elements for a Christmas… So get on your big Christmas jumper, make yourself some hot cocoa, curl up by the fire and read it too! 5/5 That Thing She Reads
‘Jenny's character development was perfect, and I grew to know and love Carrie, the children, Adam, and his entire family more as I turned the pages… I cannot recommend this absolutely beautiful story enough. It is perfect for everyone, and I beg you to read it before Christmas rolls around. I feel like it's reinforced my Christmas beliefs once more. That the presents beneath the tree and the food on the table is definitely an advantage, but as long as you have your family around you, I really don't think that you need much more than that.’ Becca’s Books
‘A Christmas to Remember is a wonderful holiday story about love, life and learning to say yes to the things that matter most in your life. I absolutely adored this novel, it’s the perfect holiday romance!’ Life with Joy
‘Jenny Hale is such a fabulous writer with such an eye for characters you’ll fall in love with… I can’t wait for Jenny’s second book, this was just super amazing and it kept me reading all day with barely a pause.’ ChickLitReviewsandNews
‘I’ve read so many books yet I can’t actually recall reading a book with so many loveable characters… I’m usually pleased when I get to connect with one or two of them, but Jenny Hale did it! She made me care for all of her characters who were brilliantly portrayed.’ This Chick Reads
Last year, I read my first Jenny Hale holiday book, but it was not going to be my last. When I saw A Christmas To Remember on Netgalley, I absolutely had to read it. I knew it would hit the spot when I wanted to read a sweet, gentle Christmas romance. My instincts were completely correct.
Carrie Blake loves her job as a nanny. However, she’s ready to make some moves and take her career in a different direction. Before this can happy, she has one last nanny assignment. She will be working for single dad Adam Fletcher, caring for his twin four year olds – Olivia and David. Carrie wants to make this the perfect holiday for the Fletcher family. She makes it her mission to show Adam how important it is to be active and present for his children – especially during Christmas. Of course, Carrie starts to really fall for Adam and his family.
Obviously, I loved A Christmas To Remember. Jenny Hale’s books really do the whole one sitting thing to me. I sit down, start to read, and don’t get up until I am finished. This book did not stress me out once. I fell in love with all of the characters. Probably the best piece for me was when Adam’s family came up to visit him from North Carolina. They’re good down home people and I loved seeing their interactions with Carrie.
On A Scale Of One To Buddy The Elf, How Much Christmas Spirit Does A Christmas To Remember Have?
100%Â A Christmas To Remember put me in a wonderful holiday spirit mood. There’s the traditional cutting of the Christmas tree. There’s decorating. Let’s not forget shopping, Santa, and a holiday party. Plus, on a less superficial level, we see the true spirit of Christmas. There’s an appreciation of family and love. I think this book is so sweet and sincere. And well, I am finding that I am a truly converted Jenny Hale fan and plan to read ALL her books at some point.
