Curl up this Christmas with a sparkling romance filled with:
- Irresistible friends-to-lovers romance
- The kiss that changed everything
- Warm nights on the family Christmas tree farm
- All your favorite Christmas songs!
Nick Winter is just out of the military, and his Christmas homecoming is not going as planned. What was supposed to be a memorable holiday with his long-time girlfriend goes sour when he learns she cheated on him while he was stationed overseas. At least Nick can rely on his usual shift at the family Christmas tree farm with his best friend, Noel Carter, and her endless supply of Christmas tunes to lift his spirits. A night of fun together is just what he needs to forget about his ex.
But then they kiss. And it feels...so right.
If Noel can turn Nick's Blue Christmas merry and bright, this might be the last Christmas Nick spends with a broken heart. This year, they'll be Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree as a couple—as long as Nick's ex doesn't go standing under any mistletoe.
"Codi Hall brings all the feels."—Monica Murphy, New York Times bestselling author
You ever read a book from a loosely connected romance series out of order and decide I should just go back and read the first one? Just me? Okay, so Nick And Noel’s Christmas Playlist by Codi Hall is the first book in the Mistletoe Romance series — I read the second book first. It is about Nick and Noel who are best friends. Nick has just returned home and is now out of the military. He is excited to see his girlfriend, but it turns out she’s breaking up with him. Noel is there to help him through the breakup and it turns out she just might be the perfect fit for him — given the two have a shared history as well as a shared mutual love of music. However, Noel isn’t really the relationship type. She has deep trust issues due to losing her parents when she was a teenager and some unresolved fear at losing anyone else she ends up getting close to.
For the most part, I really enjoyed Nick And Noel’s Christmas Playlist. This book has some spice but not too much. I felt like the chemistry between Nick and Noel felt believable. It took time for Noel to allow the relationship to progress and I can get why. It felt reasonable. Nick is such a boy scout — I ended up really liking his character. I also really liked the friend group as well as reading about Nick’s family — his sisters and parents are great. There also was a scene where I definitely laughed out loud while reading it.
On A Scale Of One To Buddy The Elf, How Much Christmas Spirit Does Nick And Noel’s Christmas Playlist Have?
Honestly, even though this book is called Nick And Noel’s Christmas Playlist — Codi Hall’s book is not over the top like Buddy The Elf. Yes, there is a Christmas tree farm and a tree festival. Oh and a holiday concert! However, it just isn’t over the top holly jolly. That’s fine. This was a solid romance read and now I can’t wait to close out the series with the final book — Along Came Holly. Highly would recommend the first two books in this series and I can imagine I will also be recommending the final book.
