Here is how you participate:
- Â Turn to page 48 of your current book, or 48% if you’re using an e-reader.
- Â Take the first complete sentence on that page and copy it.
- Â Now you’re going to continue the story! Ignoring the real plot or anything else you know about that book, add four new sentences of your very own. You can morph the plot completely, kill everybody off or go off on a huge tangent – anything goes!
My current book: Level 2 by Lenore Appelhans
Her sentence:
“You want me to try out?†I purse my lips a pound irritated but a pinch grateful that Grammy has apparently been talking me up.
My continuation:
I hadn’t realized that there would be auditions. Why would there be auditions for a poker league? Granted I might already have an ace up my sleeve with the way that Grammy talked me up but that might also work against me. I groan internally, and shake my head. All I want to do play cards! Was that too much to ask?

Haha, I love your continuation! Thanks for joining in the Page 48 Challenge – I’ve been looking through all the entries, which has been great, but yours is definitely one of the most fun 🙂
I have Level 2 on my TBR actually, so I can’t wait to see what you think of it.
Good luck with the rest of the week!
Great continuation, completely not what I was expecting!
Happy reading 🙂
