Readathon Hour 1 Update

Hey friends, I’m totally not going to update every hour but I figure I will update whenever I finish a book.

First book read:

Dragonbreath, Lair Of The Bat Monster, Book Cover, Ursula Vernon,

Dragonbreath; Lair Of The Bat Monster by Ursula Vernon

Amount of time listening: The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan for about 25 minutes — including while writing this post!

Food Consumed:

Two cinnamon rolls

Pumpkin spice coffee

1)Where are you reading from today?

Upstate NY, United States
2)Three random facts about me…

a) I used to be a cheerleader for Pop Warner and JV

b) I have two little sisters

c) I totally own a blue light saber that lights up and makes noises
3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?

16 but one book is 9 books in one, and I also have one audiobook for times like now, when I’m blogging and eating, showering, and eventually working out and showering again
4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?

I’d like to read 10 books, and read for at least 20 hours, I think that’s how long I lasted in April OH and during my hour of cheering, I hope to leave at least 100 comments
5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time?

I’m a veteran! My advice: have plenty of short books on hand, have an audiobook queued up for times when you can’t have a physical book in your hands AND graphic novels are awesome on your eyes in the early morning hours

  1. I really need to use audiobooks more! I usually only listen in the car or while cleaning — I should listen while I blog/etc!! It would get me through this 37 hour book!

  2. The fact you have a light saber is the coolest thing ever! Happy reading!

  3. Hello. Please come visit me now so that I can have a cinnamon roll as well. Thank you very much. 😉
