Excellent list and a good mix of books! From your list I have read Shiver and Room and enjoyed those a lot. I saw the movie for How’s Moving Castle- that should be an interesting book.
Good luck on your reading adventures! Will look out for your reviews on these.
Thanks Lucy! I’m looking forward to all of these and I definitely want to see the Howl’s Moving Castle film.
I’m really wanting to read Shiver, Room and The Tea Rose as well. I just won Room so hopefully I’ll get to that soon!
Room has gotten a ton of excellent reviews, so like you, I really look forward to it.
you are going to love Tea Rose…and then you’re going to read Winter Rose and you’ll love it even more. Then you can wait with me to read the third of the trilogy, Wild Rose, that I think is actually coming out in 2011?
If you do a Roots readathon, I just might join you. I’ve been meaning to read it forever also.
I will have to start setting up for the Roots readalong.
And omfg, I am so excited about the Rose books!
The Tea Rose is sooo good; I prefer The Winter Rose slightly so I would recommend that as well.
Shiver was a lot better than I thought it was going to be; the hype surrounding it made me worried that my expectations were too high, but that turned out not to be the case.
I hope you get round to reading all these this year!
No worries Bobby, I will totally get around to reading all of these this year!
I haven’t read any of these on your list. I hear Room is very good and I’ll probably read that one this year.
I hope you enjoy Room when you read it.
Angelfire!
Yay! Angelfire looks great!
Great Idea to Vlog your blog! Love it. I am crazy for The Last Summer of the Death Warriors, too! Take a look at my list, too.

I like vlogging, it gives me a chance to use my camera and also I love the interaction it provides me.
I will totally check your list out, Anne.
I am SO happy to see Shiver on this list! It is really beautifully written. I think you’ll enjoy it!
Liz, I like the vote of confidence you give Shiver!
Shiver is on my list as well. Must read. Soon.
I feel like it’s so hyped and I always mean to read it, but it just gets shoved to the side.
I do hope you get to Shiver soon!
I have actually read the first chapter of each of these books, just to get me started: http://readerbuzz.blogspot.com/2011/01/top-ten-books-i-resolve-to-read-in-2011.html
That’s a great plan.
You need to read Roots, I need to watch it. *gulp* Haven’t read it though.
My Most Excellent Year is a must-read when you’re feeling down. It’s so inconceivable an unapologetically happy.
The LAst Summer of the Death Warriors was excellent.
I’m leaning towards one day reading Howl’s Moving Castle. I’ll wait for your review (pressure!) ha.
The movie is pretty good. I had to watch it several times while student teaching (it was shown in 2 classes).
I am glad to hear that about My Most Excellent Year and The Last Summer of the Death Warriors.
Eeeep, pressure pressure.
I’m interested to know what you think of ROOM. I just finished it last week….
I haven’t made a list but you’ve inspired me to make one š
Do itttt. List making is awesome.
Oooh, Roots! I want to read that one. š
YES YES read Howl’s! I read it this year for the first time and I could not believe that book was not in my liiiife before then.
