I love adding new books to my TBR. This week’s adds included a mix of YA, classics, and contemporary fiction:
The Concubine’s Daughter by Pai Kit Fai
Copper Sun by Sharon M. Draper
The Edge of Impropriety by Pam Rosenthal
Sylvia’s Lovers by Elizabeth Gaskell
Eager by Helen Fox
Al Capone Shines My Shoes by Gennifer Choldenko

Wow, great list!
A few years ago, there was a challenge list of some sort for students in Michigan, where if they read all the books, they could vote on which should win some award. Al Capone Does My Shirts was on it, and I was curious about it, but not enough to pick it up. If you read ACSMS, let me know if it's worth my time.
Been wondering about The Concubine's Daughter, too. I have a thing for the far east, AND I love the word concubine. My book-picking process is weird sometimes…
I've heard about the Concubine's Daughter, but this is the first I've seen the cover. It looks beautiful and the topic is really interesting. Great find!
