Blogger Love-A-Thon Interview: A Room With Books

First things first, this interview totally would not be happening if not for the lovely Book Blogger Love A Thon organized by Alexa Loves Books and Kate’s Tales Of Books And Bands, so you all should swing by their blogs and give them a high five or some ice cream or cookies, as they are the best.

Second, I really need to come right out and thank Jasmine Rose, blogger at A Room With Books for being such a fun sport and for not yelling at me for being the flakiest blogger ever. Jasmine, you are the greatest!

A Room With Books

Now, let’s get cracking with these interview questions:

1. You are trapped on a desert island, your kindle and various ereading devices are dead. However, there are three books left in your suitcase, what are they?
Well, if I’d packed just to go on a trip, they’d be whatever I’d been planning to read next, but the three books I’d wish were with me would be my B&N Classics editions of Alice & Wonderland, the Grimm’s Fairytale Collection, and the Hans Christian Anderson Collection.
2. Which YA dude is your dream date and why?
Hmm..let’s see… There’s Cricket, for obvious reasons (at least, they are if you’ve read Lola), but if I’d actually have to go with Finn Belastra of the Cahill Witch Chronicles for my final answer. He’s cute and sweet, but the thing that will forever make me adore him is his love of books. Sure, guys who swing swords and such (I still love you, Percy!) are cool, but I’d much rather my guy be found with his nose in a book at any given time.
3. If you could live in any book which would it be?
Hrm. That’s a very good question. I’m a pretty big fan of the modern world and would never be able to make it in some crazy dystopian setting or what not, but I still rather like the world of Lisa McMann’s The Unwanteds series. It has technology, magic, and talking animals. I mean really, what’s better than that?
4. What’s your most played song this month? Or songs?
Red Hands & Gang of Rythym by Walk off the Earth and Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men
5. What are a few book blogs that you visit daily?
I don’t actually visit any daily. I usually just go through my reader when it starts to get too full and visit and comment then.
6. If you were limited to only one social media site — which would you choose? Facebook? Twitter? Pinterest?
Twitter, for sure. I pretty much just use Facebook to keep in touch with family and while Pinterest is neat, I almost never use it.
7. When you aren’t reading, what are you doing?
Watching Netflix or playing video games, usually.
Y’all, Jasmine Rose is AWESOME, so go to her amazing book blog and subscribe. Her reviews are well written, and her rating system is legit. She has good taste in books. Also? Sometimes you get to see pictures of Pugsy, her dog which is fantastic.

Comments

  1. Great questions and answers! I’m totally with Jasmine on Cricket being an obvious answer for a dream date! 😉

  2. Oh my word, I totally Love Finn! I also found his love of books very swoon-worthyish. You two did a pretty freaking awesome job with your interviews! I had fun reading them 🙂

  3. Love these posts where we get to meet bloggers! Some I know but a lot are new-to-me, which is awesome. There are so many fab blogs out there, there’s just no way we can discover them all on our own (unless it’s the only thing we’re doing, 24/7, which is so not happening!).

  4. Jasmine has fantastic music taste. I can tell from the two songs she plays most. Also Pugsy is a great dog name and I bet he’s super cute. I loved getting to know Jasmine!

  5. These are awesome questions! And I love Little Talks! I listen to it waaaaay too much! 🙂

  6. I LOVE JASMINE!

Also Percy Jackson and Of Monsters and Men and all other such awesome things!

  7. I think this is such a great interview! My favorite answer, and the most intriguing, has to be the one with Finn. I haven’t read Born Wicked yet, but now I really want to!

Thanks for joining us during the Love-a-thon!
