What’s Next is hosted by Hafsah at Iceybooks
Hey everyone, it’s Allison. I’m looking for something upbeat, light, fun, and a little witchy to get me into the Halloween spirit. Can you help me decide what book I should read? All books are e-books and are currently priced at $3.99 or less!
1) Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble (Jolie Walkins Series #1) by H.P. Mallory
Life isn’t bad for psychic Jolie Wilkins. True, she doesn’t have a love life to speak of, but she has a cute house in the suburbs of Los Angeles, a cat and a quirky best friend. Enter Rand Balfour, a sinfully attractive warlock who insists she’s a witch and who just might turn her life upside down. Rand hires her to help him solve a mystery regarding the death of his client who also happens to be a ghost. Jolie not only uncovers the cause of the ghost’s demise but, in the process, she brings him back to life! Word of Jolie’s incredible ability to bring back the dead spreads like wildfire, putting her at the top of the underworld’s most wanted list. Consequently, she finds herself at the center of a custody battle between a villainous witch, a dangerous but oh-so-sexy vampire, and her warlock boss, Rand.
2) Witch Weigh by Caroline Mickelson
Tessa Von Hellengaard is a real witch. Magical spells aside, she’s snarky and selfish, and the other witches in her silent spell coven are fed up with her. Their plan to reform Tessa involves taking away her magic, saddling her with one hundred extra pounds and sending her to a weight loss spa. For good measure they call in Liam Kennedy, a charming and sexy fairy godfather, to teach her some manners. Desperate to regain her magic and determined to shed the weight, Tessa soon realizes that protecting her heart from Liam will prove to be her greatest challenge.
3) The Firefly Witch by Alex Bledsoe
When small-town reporter Ry Tully meets the woman of his dreams, he has no idea what he’s getting into. Tanna is blind, but when fireflies are around, she can see. She’s a graduate student in parapsychology, and psychic herself. She’s also a second-degree Wiccan priestess–a witch. And her primary duty is to help those in need, whether living, dead, or otherwise. Will Ry be able to forge a relationship with a woman so different from anyone he’s known? Will Tanna rise to the challenges of both her new love, and her chosen path? And will the dark corners of the world be ready for the Firefly Witch?
So, which one should I read to help get me into the Halloween spirit?

Lol, none of these look like my cup of tea, but I vote for the firefly Witch. Love the cover.
I pick the H.P. Mallory one. My mom read them and liked them. They are on my pile to read.
I’m not familiar with any of these books but I like the blurb for Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble the most so I’m voting for that.
I haven’t read any of them, but I vote for Witch Weigh by Caroline Mickelson. I think it could be a funny read and it also has witches 🙂
I think the Firefly Witch looks great! Very interesting. I love the cover

I vote for The Firefly Witch. 🙂
I’d appreciate a vote on mine!
My vote is for Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble, however, if you’re open to other suggestions go ahead and give Mind Over Monsters by Jennifer Harlow a try. It’s funny, witty and very entertaining! It sort of reminds me a bit of the Sookie Stackhouse series, only with a more likeable protagonist and much more humour.
I’ve heard only heard of the first book and it has been good so I vote for book one
