Allison: Book Blogger Challenge Day 5

Hands down, this tear jerker prompt will go to Come Away With Me by Karma Brown.

I was first introduced to the concept for this book during BEA 2015 when I attended the Harlequin High Tea where Karma was one the featured authors. I was hooked. I knew that this was going to be a book that was right up my alleyway, and boy was I ever right.

One of my favorite quotes from Come Away With Me is:

“People hold tight to bursting shopping bags full of treasures to at least temporarily make their lives better.”

As you can see, the writing is simplistic yet so beautiful and makes you feel like you are right there with the characters of Tegan and Gabe.  You’re traveling with them and experiencing their moments and embracing their challenges and their heartbreaks.

The journey which you go on with this book is just breath taking. It’s an emotional rollercoaster from the first page to the last. And then there’s this twist…I still get chills thinking about the twist. It makes you rethink about everything you just read. Everything gets a new perspective, and to me that makes this book that much more special.

I can’t help but recommend any of Karma Brown’s books to you if you’re looking for heartfelt emotional stories that make you think and take you on a journey that you won’t soon forget.
