Here are some books I wouldn’t mind seeing under my Christmas tree this year!
1) The Lord of the Rings series – J.R.R. Tolkien
Why? Because I eventually do want to read all the books in the Lord of the Rings series, and I figure that if I own them I may have a better chance of doing so.
2) Time Between Us — Tamara Ireland Stone
Why? Because I’ve wanted to read this book since I first heard about it. Time travel romance? Sign me up!
3)Â Meant To Be — Lauren Morrill
Why? Because it’s set in LONDON! Also, there is romance, and some mystery and intrigue. Also, this is a book that I’ve wanted to read since I first heard about it.
4)Â Days of Blood & Starlight — Laini Taylor
Why? Because I loved Daughter of Smoke & Bone, and from the moment I finished it, I could not wait to read its sequel. I need more Karou and Akiva!
5) Anna and the French Kiss — Stephanie Perkins
Why? Because I’ve never read Anna and the French Kiss before but I’ve heard so many good things about it which make me want to check it out.
6) If I Stay — Gayle Forman
Why? Because I’ve heard SO many good things about Gayle Forman. Also, there is a Hudson Valley YA Society event at Oblong Books in February featuring Gayle Forman, Elizabeth LaBan, and Amy McNamara which I would love to attend (even if Santa doesn’t get me this book for Christmas).
7) Auracle – Gina Rosati
Why?  Because I still haven’t gotten over how much I LOVED Auracle, and I really want to own a finished copy for myself.
8)Â Wanderlove — Kirsten Hubbard
Why? Because I would really like to have a physical copy of Wanderlove in my hands. I do still have my copy on my Nook but I can’t help wanting another.
9) Ask the Passengers — A.S. King
Why? Because April has been pushing this book towards me ever since she finished it. She swears I will love it, and she has yet to lead me in the wrong direction. I would love to be able to check it out!
10)Â The Giver — Lois Lowry
Why? Because I recently finished re-reading The Giver on audiobook and I was quickly reminded how much I LOVE it. Having a physical copy to turn to whenever I wanted to would be really nice.
So…what books would you like to find under your tree from Santa?

You have some really great ones on your list! I love Anna…but really, who doesn’t!? I must also agree with April, you have to read Ask the Passengers! It’s so fantastic!
My Top Ten
Good choices! I either own or have read most of these (minus Wanderlove and Auracle), and all the ones I’ve read are favorites! Well, I don’t love The Giver anymore, but I did as a kid, so it still counts.
If I Stay, Ask the Passengers, Meant to Be – ALL WONDERFUL. Also, read all A. S. King and all Gayle Forman. *coughs*
We are totally going to the Gayle Forman event.
Also when I get around to doing this, I will have Wanderlove on my list as well. LOVE THAT BOOK! <3
Gayle Forman… ah. Just read If I Stay and Where She Went, it will be one of the best things you do for yourself 😉 (here’s hoping Santa sees this post!)
I haven’t read Wanderlove but keep hearing wonderful things. And Ask the Passengers is another on my list as well!
But most importantly. THE GIVER <3 <3 <3. Ugh, amazing.
Great choices! Be prepared to cry buckets when reading If I Stay/Where She Went. Ditto on LotR. I have the movie set but not the book set. It’s a shame.
I hope Santa gets you some (or all) of the books on your list 🙂 Days of Blood and Starlight – which I totally forgot to ask for – is probably the book I’m most anticipating to read soon.
Despite the fact that I love Lord of the Rings, the first time I read them I was so frustrated. Tolkien spends a lot of time describing his world. But I grew up in the world of Fantasy created by Tolkien, so it felt over-done. I was so naive at ten! Now I can skip over a lot of the descriptions (that get a bit boring, to be honest) and get to just enjoy the story!
Sadly, I have not read any of these other books. On a plus note, I just got a slew of new books to add to my TBR pile!
I need to get a physical copy of The Giver too! I don’t know what happened to my copy but I definitely love rereading it!
Awesome picks! LOTR is great and Laini Taylor made my list too! 😀 My TTTs are at LKHill and Musings on Fantasia. Happy Tuesday! 😀
Great choices! I think, out of all of them, I am definitely hoping you get The Lord of the Rings – the books are really good!
Forget Santa! I will buy you these because you NEED them.
Anna, Meant to Be, Time Between Us, If I Stay!?!?! These are musts!!!! Ahhh excellent list!
Great list! Days of Blood and Starlight is also on mine. Anna was an incredible book, hope you get them! My TTT.

I haven’t read any of these – and I want to! Good list 🙂
I love your list! These are all such fantastic books to own; wouldn’t mind a few copies of them myself!
And I’m thoroughly shocked you’ve never read Anna and the French Kiss. Like shocked.
Um, if you don’t get Anna, maybe I should send you my copy.
My head is screaming WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAT.
And yes yes yes to Wanderlove, and also I have to get my hands on an A.S. King book! (Can you believe there was a huge lack of them in the bookstores I visited this weekend?)
Hope you have a great holiday!
I am kind of freaking out over this list. YOU HAVEN’T READ ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS OR IF I STAY?!?!?! WHAT?!?!?! They are both so good. I enjoyed Time Between Us and Meant to Be as well, but I wouldn’t consider them favorites of mine.
I loved The Giver. I was in grad school when I read it, so I was crying on my over-crowded bus as I finished it.
And I want The Lord of the Rings as well, but there’s a newer boxed set, as well as a gorgeous leatherbound edition. Fantastic list!
