A Few More Challenges For The Year!

I know, I know some of you hate challenge update posts, but it’s the very beginning of the year, and so it is with best intentions that I post these now to keep up motivation. I warn you, I shall do one giant challenge update per month, more for myself than anyone else so I can see where my progress is, and you can all cheer me on, then I can visit you and cheer you on!

First up, Jill of the Owl Blog is hosting a Middle-Grade Reading Challenge. I shall enter the challenge at the Eighth Grade level which means reading 10 middle grade books!
The books I plan to read are:
1. Percy Jackson: The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan
2. Percy Jackson: The Battle of Labyrinth by Rick Riordan
3. Percy Jackson: The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
4. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw by Jeff Kinney
5. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
6. The Boy Who Dared by Susan Campbell Bartoletti
7. Peter and the Star Catchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Peterson
8. Fairest by Gail Carlson Levine
9.  Into The Land of Unicorns by Bruce Coville
10. Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren

Second:
I have the ereader, it only makes sense I would join an ebook challenge! Hence I shall take part in the ebook challenge hosted by Royal Reviews. I would like to go for the obsessed level, which means reading 20 ebooks. I already have one book completed, only 19 more to go!

Third:
I am craving some sexy scottish highlander action, via Jamie Fraser. Oh, yes that is right, I am joining SRR Outlander Reading Challenge. The challenge began November 17, 2009 and it ends November 17, 2010. I’ve read the first book awhile back and started the second, but never finished it. Now, I have the first four books so I think this year would be a great time to revisit the books!

Fourth:
I’ve read my first Agatha Christie novel and basically fallen in love. Love. Therefore I am joining the Agatha Christie Reading Challenge Carnival. Basically, I’d read one Agatha Christie per month and post about it on the 23rd of each month. If you are craving a cozy mystery to combat the yucky snow, I say go for this challenge!

I can’t wait to see how many people expand their horizons this year by participating in challenges šŸ˜€

I think challenge update posts are fun! šŸ™‚ I only allowed myself to join one challenge (the Gilmore Girl challenge) this year but it should be pretty fun. I'm attempting something new this decade called: not overloading myself to a ridiculous level. That will last til about next week… šŸ˜‰

    Good luck for your challenges!

Ah, Jamie. I have a friend who told me about meeting a tall, good-looking, red-headed Scottish man. She slipped up and called him Jamie.

He asked her, "Why do all you Americans call me that?"
