This USA Today bestselling author invites you to the delightful small town of Sweetwater Springs where the magic of Christmas brings two strangers together in this "story you won't forget" (RaeAnne Thayne, New York Times bestselling author).
Christmas is coming to the North Carolina mountains, and the air is fresh and crisp and filled with promise. After the devastating loss of her job in the big city, the small town of Sweetwater Springs feels like heaven to Kaitlyn Russo. She's inherited her grandparents' charming (if a little rundown) bed and breakfast, and it's just the new lease on life she needs. Only "heaven" comes with a catch - and a handsome and completely infuriating one at that.
After what he hopes will be a quick trip, Mitch Hargrove wants nothing more than to put his hometown in the rearview mirror. But his plans get derailed when he learns he's now half-owner of the Sweetwater B&B. The fact that he's given only two months to make the inn a success is a huge problem, but it's his pretty - and incredibly headstrong - partner who's the real challenge. With the holiday fast approaching and a grand re-opening looming, will Mitch keep running from the ghosts of Christmas past . . . or will he realize the true gift he's been given?
Includes the bonus short story "A Midnight Clear" by Hope Ramsay! What readers are saying about Christmas on Mistletoe Lane... "This book was exactly what I needed to kick off the holiday season." "A holiday story full of second chances, romance and magic...It's got all the feels-and a fabulous holiday message." "I truly enjoyed this fun holiday read." "This book needs to be made into a Hallmark Christmas movie!"

One of the great things about reading romance is that you can read the series out of order. Christmas On Mistletoe Lane by Annie Rains is the first of the Sweetwater Springs series but the second book I’ve read from the series. The first one I read was actually the third book - Snowfall On Cedar Trail. As it turns out, I am completely charmed by Sweetwater Springs and glad to have the second book on hand, to read third of course.

Christmas On Mistletoe Lane is about Kaitlyn Russo who inherits a bed and breakfast from her grandmother and Mitch Hargrove, who also inherits half of the bed and breakfast. Kaitlyn is desperate for the bed and breakfast to succeed. After all, she had a terrible incident at her interior designer job in New York City. Kaitlyn has nothing to fall back on. Mitch would like nothing more than to escape Sweetwater Springs and move on, the memories of a past incident are too much. However, because Mitch is dependable, he agrees to stick around and help with the bed and breakfast enough to meet the terms of the will. Of course, chemistry and sparks fly between Kaitlyn and Mitch.

I really gelled with Christmas On Mistletoe Lane. This book moved along at the perfect clip. Plus, there’s just something about a good renovation that keeps me hooked. I enjoyed reading about how Kaitlyn and Mitch were restoring the bed and breakfast. Also, Kaitlyn was so determined to make it a success and I could really look up to that. The chemistry between Kaitlyn and Mitch was excellent too. At first, they’re attracted to each other but don’t really give in. Mitch plans to leave so he doesn’t want Kaitlyn to get attached. Plus, there’s the inn to worry about. But, when they give in, oh it’s WONDERFUL.

On A Scale Of One To Buddy The Elf, How Much Christmas Spirit Does Christmas On Mistletoe Lane Have?

Annie Rains’ Christmas On Mistletoe Lane has delicious breakfasts and fudge. So it hits on the food aspect of the holidays. There’s also trimming the tree and getting the bed and breakfast all spruced up. We also see the message of forgiveness and moving forward. I think this is a good book when you want to read something set during the holidays but not going to overwhelm you with cheer.
