"Remember Me."
These are the words carved on the dead body of a local judge's assistant . . . the same local judge who sarcastic teen hacker, Wick Tate, is investigating as part of her undercover hacking for her not-exactly-favourite cop, Detective Carson.
In this edge-of-your-seat thrilling sequel to Find Me, Wick had thought her troubles were over. But she should've known better. Now she is once again dealing with criminals and corrupt cops . . . and a brooding new love interest. The pressure might be too much, as secrets-including Wick's own-climb to the surface. Will Wick persevere like she has before?
If you like The Girl with the Dragon Tattooor Michelle Gagnon's Don't Turn Around trilogy, you'll love Remember Meby Romily Bernard.

Remember Me by Romily Bernard is the excellent sequel to her debut, Find Me. This trilogy is definitely under the radar, but I promise you it is also well worth reading. I mean, worth reading if you enjoy things that are awesome like computers, thrillers, kissing and corruption. After reading Remember Me, I have 100% committed to moving Trust Me, the final book, much higher on my to be read list.

Okay, so, Remember Me takes place after the events of Find Me. Basically Wick Tate is living with her sister and foster mom – Bren, who is great. She is going to school and trying to stay out of trouble. However, she goes to this one party with Bren and unfortunately a dead body turns up at the party. Now it’s up to Wick to solve the case, deal with this stalker. Oh yeah, and she also has some more information from her mother’s suicide and learns that maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t suicide. Meanwhile, there’s the cop from the first book who is trying to blackmail Wick so that he can use her skills to solve crimes. In all, this book sure brings the action up a notch.

Wick is fantastic. Of course, I do have a soft spot for people who are good with computers as well as for people who are loyal. Wick is very loyal, often to her own detriment. She’s blackmailed into doing things by people who say they will ruin Bren and her sister as well as her boyfriend, Griff. So, she reluctantly does those things. I thought it was realistic, I mean if someone says they are going to hurt the people you love unless you do something and you’re not totally experienced, chances are you give in. At least, I would.

Remember Me does take an interesting turn in the relationship between Wick and Griff. I mean, I remember how much I rooted for them in the first book. This book, they are together. However, there’s a strain on their relationship. Wick is forced to break some promises to Griff and to lie to him. That’s not good, but I think realistic. She doesn’t seem to trust him enough to give him full information and she wants him to be happy. Also, that’s not to mention a new character, Milo, who engages in some flirtation with Wick. You see, Wick and Milo do have some things in common. Alas, this drama was sort of the cream to all the hacker action.

Romily Bernard’s sequel, Remember Be, is a fast paced young adult thriller with a computer focus. The book is one that you can 100% read in a single day and probably a single sitting if you are determined enough. It resolves everything in a decent fashion. However, I think that you will definitely find yourself wanting to read the third book when you finish up.

  1. I really loved these books. I need to read Trust Me soon. There aren’t many books with hacker girls so that may be one of the reasons I enjoyed these.

  2. Thank you for mentioning my review! Glad you enjoyed this book! It was such a fun read. I still need to read book three, but I’m really excited for it!! 🙂
