Allison: Top Ten Books For People Who Like Character Driven Novels

Hi everyone! Remember me?

Sorry, I’ve been really busy lately between school and work so I haven’t been able to put out any reviews. I have been reading (although not as much as I would like) so I do have some stuff stored up to hopefully get out to you all soon.

Since I did actually have a bit of extra time tonight and I realized it was Tuesday, I decided to see what the Top Ten Tuesday topic was for this week. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely ladies over at The Broke and The Bookish. This week the topic is:

Top Ten Books for People Who Love Character Driven Novels

Ooooh! What a tough topic. Here are just 10 of my favorites:

1. Open Road Summer – Emery Lord
The characters & moments in this story are going to stick with me for a long time to come.

2. Graceling – Kristin Cashore
I loved all the feminist undertones in this book.

3. Out of the Easy – Ruta Sepetys
So many fleshed out, heart-breaking, beautiful characters in this book.

4. Freaks Like Us – Susan Vaught
You cannot help but root for the main character who has schizophrenia.

5. Code Name Verity – Elizabeth Wein
Verity & Maddie. Unbreakable friendship. Chills.

6. Wanderlove – Kirsten Hubbard
A journey of self-discovery and learning to take chances.

7. The Book Thief – Markus Zusak
Characters who are so true to my heart and encompass why books are so important.

8. The Perks of Being a Wallflower – Stephen Chbosky
The main character of this book lead me to write THIS post.

9. Being Sloane Jacobs – Lauren Morrill
Two characters. Same name. Different personalities. Switching places.

10. When I Was The Greatest – Jason Reynolds
Diverse, realistic, heartfelt characters with real experiences.

So, that is my list. Have you read of my choices?
