Hi Peyton! Welcome to Good Books and Good Wine. Thank you for taking the time to sit down with me and chat today.

Thanks for having me!

First off, tell us a little more about yourself! Describe yourself in three sentences or less!

There’s no way to describe an entire person in three sentences or less. I don’t like being put into categories, because that comes with certain expectations. I do what I want and say what I want, screw what other people think.

How would you describe your relationship with your sisters Savannah and Courtney?

I’ll do anything for my sisters, and want the best for them. I hate seeing them hurt. Sure, I complain about them at times, but no one is allowed to say anything bad about them to me without me getting seriously pissed off. I don’t see my sisters much in social settings, because I hang out with my own friends, but they know I have their backs no matter what.

What was it like to finally discover the identity of your father Aidan Diamond? What was your first impression of him?

Umm … calling it the biggest shock in my life would be an understatement. And my first impression of him is what I’ve always thought about him—that he’s a selfish ass and that I want nothing to do with a man who wanted nothing to do with me and my sisters until now, no matter how much money he has. The money makes it worse. He had the means to be there for us, and he ditched us. The fact that he wants us to give him a chance is laughable, and I don’t understand or respect it.

The gossips must have had a field day with the revelation that your billionaire father had three secret daughters no one knew about. Have you had any bad experiences with the press? What about with the Vegas locals?

I only just got here, and according to Adrian, the press will be interested in me and my sisters. He says they care about us, and he wants us to stay out of the “spotlight,” but whatever. I’m gonna live my life the way I want to no matter what. As for the locals, sometimes I’ll be walking around and think somoene snapped a picture of me, but I don’t pay much attention to it.

Before moving to Las Vegas with your sisters, the three of you lived in California with your mother. How would you describe your life there? How does it compare to your new life in Las Vegas?

Our life there wasn’t always easy, but it was what it was. I never knew anything different. Sure, we had it rough sometimes (particuarly when Mom’s drinking spiraled in the past year), but there were kids in my school stuck in crappy foster homes that had it way worse, so at least we had a home and a parent. After getting home at the end of school and making sure the house and Mom were ready for Courtney and Savannah to get home, I would go out with people I knew and tried to enjoy the present. Vegas is a different world from Fairfield, California. I definitely don’t miss Fairfield—there wasn’t much for me there, besides my sisters—and I do like the clubs in Vegas. But if Adrian tries sucking up to us and pretending like he can be our father after all these years of ignoring us, he’s gonna get a serious reality check.

You have been known for standing out in a crowd with your sense of style and attitude. Is this something that just comes naturally for you? Is it empowering?

I guess it comes naturally. If I want to wear something, or do something different with my hair, or say what’s on my mind, why wouldn’t I? If anyone’s going to judge me on stuff like that, then screw them.

You’ve also been known to have a boy of the month. Can you give us any hints about if this trend continues once you enter the world of Las Vegas?

Again, I do what I want. So if I meet a hot guy (and there are plenty of them in Vegas), and he’s interested, why wouldn’t I go for him?

You’re almost eighteen years old so I imagine you’ve slowly started planning out your future. Any idea where you see yourself in five years?

Nope—I don’t like thinking a few months into the future, let alone a few years. I’m just gonna take life as it comes and let my future reveal itself to me when it’s ready.

I know you’re a big lover of music. If you had to pick a theme song for yourself, what would it be and why?

Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen, because to me it’s all about being free and doing what you want in life.

Finally, as this blog is called Good Books and Good Wine I must ask you; do you have a favorite book and a favorite type of wine? If so, why are these choices your favorites?

I don’t remember the last time I’ve read a full book—for school I either read the sparknotes or watch the movie. I figure if a book’s amazing, it’ll be made into a movie or TV show, and then I can watch it that way. And I don’t know much about wine, either. I’ll drink whatever my friends have around, which is usually whatever was cheapest at Seven Eleven. I’m more of a vodka or cocktail girl.
