Stacking The Shelves (48)

What a chill week you guys! We did not have a snow day this week, even when snow dumped down a few inches Thursday night. I mean, a snow day on Friday would have been nice because then it would be a four day weekend and that would be awesome. Alas, it’s a three day weekend and I am keeping myself busy by having a Kasie West readathon. I’m 119 pages intoย Pivot Point right now and am really liking it. What are you reading? Let me know in the comments!

For Review:

STS 47-1

The Hero’s Guide To Being An Outlaw by Christopher Healy (Accepted Review Copy) – The final book in the Hero’s Guide trilogy. While I will be sad to see this series end, I am excited for what Healy has on the horizon. Also I am pumped to read this. ALSO! This was the only package I received this week, so chill, right?

From Edelweiss/Netgalley

Chasing Before by Lenore Appelhans – AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I screamed, literally screamed when I saw my request approved. I am going to delay my gratification on this one for a few weeks, saving it for when I will really, really, really need it.
Maid Of Deceptionย by Jennifer McGowan – I quite enjoyed the first book,ย Maid Of Secrets so I am really happy that I was approved to read the sequel.
Complicit by Stephanie Kuehn – This young adult book sounds really, really intense and typically I have good luck with St. Martin’s YA books.

  1. I’m currently reading Soul of Flame-Rebecca Ethington. I already read Pivot Point and enjoyed it ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. The Hero’s Guide books are so good! The kids and I can’t wait for the third one! I hope you like Pivot Point, I’m still waiting on my copy of Split Second to show up and I’m not too happy about that. I just started reading Maybe One Day. I hope it like it and that it doesn’t make me cry too much! Have a great week ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Oh my gosh, Maybe One Day was so heartbreaking, but good. Definitely the book to read for some sobs.

Ahhhh, you and the kids have great taste, aren’t the Hero’s Guide books THE BEST?

Hope your copy of Split Second gets there soon!!

  3. I’m happy to hear that you’re enjoying Pivot Point! I haven’t read it yet, but I’m a little nervous because of all the hype. Can’t wait to see your thoughts! As for me, I’m currently reading And We Stay by Jenny Hubbard. Not too far in, but it’s interesting.

    • I was nervous too about the Pivot Point hype, but it turns out that it’s totally worth the hype.

I am curious about AND WE STAY, I’ve never read a Jenny Hubbard book, but I always like her covers and you know, contemporary is the best.

  4. Nice haul, I hope Lenore’s book is great! Enjoy your 3-day weekend!

  5. You got some nice books. Its always a little sad to see a series ending. Congrats on getting a book you really want.

  6. You got League of Princess 3!!! OMG! Hope you love it! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that series.

  7. Great haul. I hope you enjoy all of your books ๐Ÿ™‚ I got Pivot Point for Christmas but haven’t had time to get to it yet, I am excited though as I keep hearing good things. My STS.

  8. Happy Reading! If you’d like, you can stop by my STS

  9. I don’t know anything about the Maids of Deception series but it looks pretty interesting. And yay for Lenore Appelhans. I hope you like it. Happy reading!

  10. The Healy books look like so much fun! I LOVE Kasie West. I guess I can say that after two books, right? I loved Pivot Point and The Distance Between Us, so needless to say I’m pretty excited about her upcoming two books. Well, more than pretty excited.

I’m reading Tin Star by Cecil Castellucci right now and I’m having a few side eyes, I won’t lie. I’m almost finished with it. I just finished The Rule of Three by Eric Walters and Forever by Karen Ann Hopkins. Next up: I can’t remember, to be honest. But YAY Kasie West, I’m excited you’re reading her!

  11. I was sent The Hero’s Guide to Being an Outlaw, too, and I’m so excited to read it. I just loved the first two books, and I can’t believe it’s the last in the series. Although I’m excited to learn what Christopher Healy’s next project will be.

We didn’t have a snow day either, but seriously, the library where I work NEVER closes for snow. Blah. But, on the plus side, I actually took Friday off, so I did have a four day weekend anyway. And it was totally relaxing and amazing.

I hope your three day weekend was great, and that you had fun reading Kasie West’s books.
