Stacking The Shelves (41)

Man do I feel refreshed — I’ve been off work since Wednesday at 12 p.m. and have been taking the time to really relax. I’ve read three books on this mini-break — one just wasn’t grabbing me so I would do things like put it off and watch repeats of How I Met Your Mother instead. I also have about 110 pages left of A Clash Of Kings so I am in the final stretch and focusing on reading more of that. Aside from Thanksgiving, the only time I have left the house is to check the mail on Saturday. ALSO. You guys, I have been doing Blogilates again and am seeing a bit of a difference. Hurray! Alas, you are here to hear about books and not my life, so let’s get to what came in the mail.

For Review:

STS 41-1

The Eye Of Minds by James Dashner (Accepted Review Copy) – This book is actually no longer in my house, I sent our newest member Cassie off with it because she’s a huge James Dashner fan and more likely to get to it than I am.

STS 41-2

Ruins by Dan Wells (Unsolicited Review Copy) – Ahhhh, I still need to read Fragments but I am excited for both because I really thought Partials was awesome.
Maybe One Day by Melissa Kantor (Unsolicited Review Copy) -This book sounds so sad, I think I am going to save it for when I need a good cry.

STS 41-3

Pretty Sly by Elisa Ludwig (Unsolicited Review Copy) – I liked Pretty Crooked, so this sequel does actually interest me.
Perfect Lies by Kiersten White (Unsolicited Review Copy) – I have already read and scheduled my review of Perfect Lies, so I am about to pass this on to Allison!

STS 41-4

Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy (Unsolicited Review Copy) – AHHHHH you guys I am beyond excited to read this, I have heard lots and lots of good early buzz about it.
Faking Normal by Courtney C. Stevens (Unsolicited Review Copy) – This is a book about abuse, so I think when I finish it, it will find it’s way into my office.

STS 41-5

Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill (Amazon Vine) – I basically picked this one because I have a habit of picking out Vine books that are also Netgalley books. Also, Lauren Morrill is the best. The end.
Tales From My Closet by Jennifer Anne Moses (Unsolicited Review Copy) – Yo, those red shoes on that cover? SIGN ME UP. Also, this has five POVs and looks cute, I will read it when I am in the mood for a fun read.

STS 41-6

Rome by Jay Crownover (Unsolicited Review Copy) – Total blue steel cover you guys.
Suddenly Royal by Nichole Chase (Unsolicited Review Copy) – This sounds like a grown up version of The Princess Diaries or The Prince And Me. I am totally down.

STS 41-7

Killer Of Enemies by Joseph Bruchac (Unsolicited Review Copy) – Second copy! I will give this away when I am feeling motivated enough to put together a rafflecopter.
Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight (Unsolicited Review Copy) – So, this book is being compared to Gone Girl which was one of my favorites this year. I had no plans to read it, but now, well, I think I am going to try to make time for it.
Revelations by JA Souders (Unsolicited Review Copy) – This is a sequel to a book I have not read and do not have. Who knows if/when I will read this.

  1. Nice haul! I got approved for Being Sloane Jacobs on Netgalley and am about 60 pages into it. I enjoyed Meant to Be, but I think the author’s writing/plotting has really improved in this one. And I’m quite jealous of Side Effects May Vary! I hope that one becomes available on Edelweiss soon. Happy reading, April, and I’m glad you had a good Thanksgiving!

  2. Being Sloane Jacobs AHHHHH I super wanna read that one! I really love Lauren Morrill! I got Maybe One Day and Faking Normal for review too! Both look like great reads! 🙂

  3. Wow you got a super nice haul this time around!

I have the e-ARC’s of a lot of these. Being Sloane Jacobs was a great read. I really enjoyed it. Maybe One Day had me curled up in the fetal position sobbing hysterically by the end of it. I just bought Mind Games so I can read my e-ARC of Perfect Lies right afterwards. I also have Faking Normal but I don’t need to read that one until next month.

I am so jealous that you got Reconstructing Amelia. I want that book SO badly.

    Happy Reading!

  4. Reconstructing Amelia is on my wish list, you have some great books there

  5. I’m kind of jealous of your awesome haul April. So many great Harper Teen titles that I’m salivating over. I managed to pick up Renegade a few weeks ago. Come check out my stack as well.

  6. These are totally awesome! I’m excited to see what you think of these 🙂 Hope you enjoy them all! 🙂

    Check out my STS!

  7. I ADORE your haul! I’m super excited about Side Effects May Vary and Maybe One Day. I’ve got Being Sloane Jacobs as well, and I’m nervous about that one since I was not a fan of Meant to Be. Hopefully I feel differently about this one. I’m looking forward to your review for Faking Normal because I’m not quite sure if I want to read it yet or not…

  8. Being Sloane Jacobs is on VINE?! *goes to request*
