Stacking The Shelves (40)

Last weekend definitely wore me out. I really burned myself out at both ends and was feeling as though I was being run ragged. The mini vacation happening next week will be much appreciated even though I am so booked with work things on Monday and Wednesday (at least we are out at 12 on Wednesday and I will fricken run to my car to avoid staying late I need time off that badly). Although I barely read 20 pages altogether last weekend, I feel like I’ve read a ton during the week. Also, you guys, I am excited about these new books I am about to tell you about!

For Review:

STS 40-1

Seven Wonders: Lost In Babylon by Peter Lerangis (Unsolicited) – I should really read book one, but yay audiobooks!
Allegiant by Veronica Roth (Unsolicited) – I am glad I have the audio of book 2 on hand, I think I will listen to that before I start Allegiant. I might also read my ebook of it first and then re-read via audio. Excited though! Thanks Harper Audio! <3 <3 <3

STS 40-2

Control by Lydia Kang (Accepted Review Copy) – I love this cover and omg, yay science. Also, this sounds very suspenseful.
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (Accepted Review Copy) – I legit just finished reading this book and my feels still hurt you guys. SO GOOD.
The Sound Of Letting Go by Stasia Ward Kehoe (Accepted Review Copy/For Blog Tour) – I’ve read and scheduled my review of this book, and I must be on a roll, because I loved this one as well. If you’re looking for an emotional read, add this to your list.

STS 40-3

Infinite by Jodi Meadows (Unsolicited) – I really need to read book 2! Ahhh! Maybe that will be my big December plan, catching up on various series before the New Year.
Uninvited by Sophie Jordan (Unsolicited) – Heck yesssss new Sophie Jordan book, I am ready.
Evertrue by Brodi Ashton (Unsolicited) – Another book with a sequel that I need to read! Ahhh! So far behind.

STS 40-4

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge (Unsolicited) – Gorgeous cover is gorgeous.
Tremor by Patrick Carman (Unsolicited) – I still need to read book one. Ahhhh!
Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd (Unsolicited) – I love this cover too and can’t wait to get to this. I really likedΒ The Madman’s Daughter.

STS 40-5

Death Sworn by Leah Cypress (Unsolicited) – I cannot with how excited I am to read this book y’all!
Elusion by Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam (Unsolicited) – Look, while I personally think the cover is a hot mess, the concept sounds awesome.
Ask Again Later by Liz Czukas (Unsolicited) – I’ve already read this and have my review scheduled for March 3, 2014. Basically I loved this book. It’s on Edelweiss and worth requesting.

STS 40-5

Seven Wonders: The Colossus Rises by Peter Lerangis (Unsolicited) – Second copy. I really need to read this! It’s being referred to as Percy Jackson meets Indiana Jones. That’s awesome.
Seven Wonders: Lost In Babylon by Peter Lerangis (Unsolicited) – Heyyyyy second copy, but this one in print.

STS 40-6

Sometimes I Forget You’re A Robot by Sam Brown (Accepted Review Copy) – Sooo, everyone I know is having babies and I thought it would be acceptable to review picture books. Also, this one looked super cute. AND OMG I HAVE A COPY TO GIVEAWAY and dude picture books are expensive, so if you have a child or teach or are a librarian, please enter when this contest goes up.

  1. Nice haul of books. So many pretties. Jealous of Infinite and Evertrue. Come check out my haul as well.

  2. SO many good books here! I love the sound of Ask Again Later. It’s high on my want-really-desperately-list. And I have my review-copy of Allegiant too! Ohmygosh, SO freakishly excited for it. I’m trying to reread the first 2 first, though, because they have such horrible cliffhangers. πŸ˜‰ That picture book does look super cute.

  3. I enjoyed seeing all the books you got. Enjoy your reading.

  4. Ooo, April, YAY for Control! I literally JUST reviewed that one on my blog today, actually! I really, really enjoyed it. And I can’t wait to read Cruel Beauty and Elusion! I have Death Sworn – it’s so pretty! But then, it seems like all of Harper’s books are pretty. And sound awesome. Winter 2014 is such a great time to be a book fan πŸ˜‰

Anyway, enjoy your newest additions, April! And have a wonderful week πŸ™‚

    Check out my STS post!

  5. So many amazing books this week! I see a ton that I have on my TBR. I hope you enjoy your mini vacation!!

  6. So much goodness! The cover of Cruel Beauty makes me swoon every time I see it :). Sounds like you’re going to have an awesome few weeks of reading!

  7. A ton of awesome books, nice haul! I’m having major book envy over Panic! :-). Thanks for visiting me!

  8. Evertrue and Infinite! *dies* I cannot wait for those! πŸ˜€

  9. I am drooling over those Harper titles. And We Were Liars (of course. Everyone is loving this one). I’m super excited for Evertrue to come out because that’s one of my favorite series. I’m not so sure about Her Dark Curiosity because I haven’t read very great reviews for it and I was happy with The Madman’s Daughter being a standalone. Oh well. I hope you enjoy all of these wonderful books!

  10. Wow, you got a lot of amazing books! I received quite a few of these myself but in eARC form. I got Control this week, was really excited to receive that as it looks really amazing. My STS.

  11. Yay for reviewing picture books! I LOVE picture books. Also, I have major hair envy for that girl on the cover of Uninvited. Not the hair color, but the way it’s styled. So pretty πŸ™‚

  12. LOL I cracked up over your description of the Elusion cover. From far away it’s a gorgeous cover. Up close it’s a hot mess. A MONET! πŸ˜€

  13. I got that some Harper Audio package. I ended up with two review copies of that book and you know how I feel about the series (probably? I think everyone does). It’s ironic, really. Lol, also, I guess I should listen to Seven Wonders, since I now have the first two books. I wasn’t super interested, but oh well. They want me to try it so badly then I will.

    CONTROL! Jealousy!

Um, everyone is reading We Were Liars early. More jealous even though I have it. But I only have four review books (not counting audio) for December, so maybe I need to cheat soon, because otherwise what is the point of being a We Were Liars-having hipster, right?

Also, I love the cover for The Sound of Letting Go. Glad it’s good. Ooh, and Ask Again Later too. And you say that you’re bad at reading ARCs early.
