Stacking The Shelves (38)

What a busy week it was! I mean, yes I had Monday off, but still lots and lots going on at my work and outside of work as well. I only managed to finish one book during the Monday – Friday time frame and you guys usually I try to read during my lunch break and that did not happen once this week. Sigh. Anyways. Here are two weeks worth of books! Yay!

Stacking The Shelves

For Review:

Flo & Wendell by William Wegman (Unsolicited) – Yo, a picture book with dogs wearing drawn on clothing, I AM ALL OVER THAT. Expect like a mini review of this before it goes into my office.
This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales (Unsolicited) – Finished copy received as a thanks for being on the blog tour. Yay, Macmillan you have my heart. <3333
The Whole Golden World by Kristina Riggle (Unsolicited) – I have zero clues why this showed up, but in reading the cover copy it’s about a teacher-student relationship but more complex in that it explores three perspectives. Sounds like this will be a good book to read when I need a break from YA.
Love Letters To The Dead by Ava Dellaira (Requested Review Copy) – Basically I wanted to read this because it’s about love, loss and friends. Also it sounds awesome.
Rule by Jay Crownover (Unsolicited) – I can’t even pretend that I am not excited to read this. I AM! Seriously, I need to like take a month and just read through the New Adult books that I’ve got on tap. Someday you guys. Someday.
Forgiving Lies by Molly McAdams (Unsolicited) – I just can’t.
The Strange & Beautiful Sorrows Of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton (Unsolicited) – I am not entirely sure what this is about, but it came in a beautiful golden sort of wrap bag and it’s got a superb press release. I will certainly read this one.
Finding It by Cora Carmack (Unsolicited) – OMG I need to hurry up and read these books.
The Boy On The Porch by Sharon Creech (Unsolicited) – I love Creech and this one is short so I definitely will be reading it quite soon.
The Great Unexpected by Sharon Creech (Unsolicited) – I’ve read and reviewed and liked this book.

  3. Great haul, April! I’ve heard so many great things about This Song Will Save Your Life and Cora’s books! Soon, I’m going to devour her works. Happy reading and I hope you get to read more books next week!

  4. Lovely haul! Love Letters to the Dead sounds good, people seem to like it a lot πŸ™‚
    Happy reading!

    My haul

  5. You got some titles that I’ve never heard of before. They do sound interesting. Love Letters to the Dead has some good buzz going for it.

  6. So jealous of Love Letters to the Dead! I haven’t heard of some of the others, but hope you get more reading time this week! πŸ™‚

  7. LOL, wait, I’m going to ignore everything else in this post for a second, and comment on the Forgiving Lies bit. “I just can’t” LOL! Why not? I also got that one a few months ago, and I sincerely *tried* to read it, but that wasn’t happening. I can’t stand most New Adult contemporary romance books that I read. Cora’s are pretty good – though I haven’t read Finding It yet (wait so I have it for review… crap!).

Well anyway, I hope you enjoy your books!

    Have an awesome week!

    Check out my STS post!

  8. Awwww, I’m always curious to see what’s new on the other readers shelves!!!!
Ah yes, my name on the profile has changed, it was Pink Vanilla but now I put my name πŸ™‚ My blog’s name is always the same!
    Have a great week! xoxo

  9. Okay just got struck green with envy. I so want a copy of Love Letters to the Dead. It seems such an interesting topic. Fits my story well. My grandmother was my best friend and confidante. She passed away in ’08, I miss her dearly and sometimes I write little things to her just to vent.

Enjoy your haul and hope you get more read time in this week.

  10. Flo and Wendell TERRIFIES me. NGL.

Macmillan is the best. As is This Song Will Save Your Life.

All I know is that The Whole Golden World has a pretty cover, so I hope you like it when you get to it, because then I will read it.

I got Love Letters to the Dead and Ava Lavender too. Hopefully they rock.

Oh, also, you will LOVE Cora Carmack. Girl, what are you doing with yourself?
