Stacking The Shelves (34)

What an interesting few weeks, y’all! So, my blog was down for the vast majority of the week as I made the switch from Dreamhost to WP Engine, as I am not at all an IT/domain expert by any means and I kept messing steps up along the way. Luckily, I had a great experience with WP Engine’s tech support which sets a good precedent for this new web host. Also, ALSO, I have been doing lots and lots of packing and googling of couponing because you know, living in a new place means we have to budget and such. AND then okay so I started this draft BEFORE I moved and now I am moved and it has been a week that we have lived here. Y’all, packing and unpacking makes for a pretty hectic life. PLUS all of the culling. How has your week been? Oh and I totally had an awesome video showing all the books BUT THEN the camera froze so the audio stopped syncing with the video.

  1. Hey April! You have so many middle grade books! My Weird School is soooo popular at the library where I work. I’ll have to look into the writing tips by Dan Gutman. That could be popular at the library, too.

I have read the Fairyland books. Anyway, I hope you are enjoying your new place and your new job, and that your birthday was awesome. I like run-on sentences 🙂

  2. You did get a wonderful assortment of books. I am most interested in Shadows by Robin McKinley since I am a huge fan of her work and she doesn’t write nearly fast enough. Come and see what I got at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. I had huge weeks. Happy reading!

  3. Wow! Great Haul! I really want to read Frozen, Horde and You Look Different in Real Life 😀

  4. I’m ashamed to say that I think that my apartment looks more like it was just moved into than yours (it wasn’t). Happy belated birthday, April!!

I’m so excited for Fairyland too!!! I almost dropped everything this week to read it, but was ‘responsible’ and read my Valente book from the library instead. Also don’t feel too bad, I’d never seen Star Wars till college at which point I lived in a house with 4 dudes and they made me watch it. Surprisingly, I didn’t know how it ended, so that was exciting.

    Happy reading, April!

  5. AAAAAH! The School for Good and Evil! I’m very excited about that book, as it sounds like something I’d definitely enjoy 🙂

  6. April what an amazing haul of books. The School for Good and Evil has such a great cover. So many books. How do you find time to read them.

  7. Woah! That’s a lot of good books! I’m absolutely dying for Robin McKinley’s new book Shadows and Once We Were! I’ve got a copy of The School for Good and Evil that’s just begging to be read! 🙂

    Happy reading!
