Cleaning Out My Piles Contest

Y’all, the very real possibility that I might be moving soon has come up and with that possibility is the fact that moving all the books I have here is going to be such a huge pain in the ass. And so, because I am freakin awesome and because I have like piles and piles and bags of books that I’ve read or have doubles of, I thought I would do a box of books contest. I know some people like to whinge about mystery boxes, but for real? You are getting a goddamned free box of books, pipe the fuck down.

Anyways, in this box there are 19 books. If you get it and there is a book you don’t want, do this cool thing called Rock The Drop. I am sure someone in your hood will appreciate it if you don’t want it. I think that these books are a pretty decent mix. There’s some I didn’t love, but you might like. And then there’s a few that are utterly superb. Then there are some that I have not yet read because they are doubles. Best of luck, y’all.

  1. Thanks for the contest, yo!

And while I am not a teacher or librarian (and did not mark that I was on the contest), I’m all about giving my ARCs and even my finished copies I won’t reread to the high school librarian. She LOVES them! <3

  2. Sorry, I accidentally entered before I noticed it was US only 😛 I was so excited when I saw a BOX OF BOOKS that I just entered the giveaway right away. Just delete (or ignore) my entry 🙂 Awesome giveaway!

  3. If the move does happen, I hope it goes well!

  4. I think spring is when all the bookish people clean out there shelves. I cleaned mine out a couple weeks ago and most went to the library book sale at work. I don’t know about you, but once I get rid of all the books I know I won’t reread I can’t help but feel a little giddy about all the space for new books. 🙂

  5. Fun! Thanks man! 🙂

  6. I HEAR YOU! Pipe the fuck down! Free books. Don’t like it, don’t enter goddamit! I entered, but I really love that you give extra entries for teachers, librarians, and people not going to conferences.

  7. Moving is such a hassel. I look at my bookshelves and think about when I will need to move and it … is just too much. I don’t even want to think about it. Thanks for giving an extra entry for those not going to ALA or BEA. It saddens me that I won’t be at either 🙁

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. Emma @ girl loves books says

Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I do really like that you included a tab for us poor souls who can’t go to BEA 🙂

Can I just say I love the attitude of your blog? Am now following. My mother is a teacher, but I didn’t claim an extra entry on her behalf, because that would have been wrong. So…awesome giveaway, and good luck moving.

  10. I don’t know why anyone would whine about a mystery box! Those are the best kind! 🙂

  11. Hahaha I love that you have an entry for NOT going to ALA or BEA. I wish I could go, but travel is tough! Thanks for supporting librarians! (And teachers!)
