I am feeling SUPER lazy today, so I promise when I am less lazy I will update this with the books and their titles. But, I promise the video is entertaining.

  1. I love vlogs for book hauls, more bloggers need to do them 😉 Nice hair cut, April!

Ooh, a Stephen King comparison has me interested! Another Little Piece looks good, I like the cover. And more Stephen King? SOLD!

I have been hearing SUCH good things about The 5th Wave, I got a copy from Netgalley. And I didn’t know it involved aliens, and I hate aliens, so now I’m a bit unsure but will read anyway!

  2. April, you are adorable! Seriously, I loveee your enthusiasm! 😀 A Corner of White is on NG, by the way, so I’m sure you’ll be accepted. Win-win situation for you! 🙂 Also, FROI IS AMAZING! Seriously, EVERYTHING by Melina Marchetta is amazing actually, so I can’t wait for you to read the series and have your mind BLOWN! I’ve heard great things about Long Lankin as well, although I haven’t gotten around to reading that one, so I’m curious to see what you think. I recently read Audrey, Wait! which was a ton of fun, so I’ll have to check out Benway’s other books soon. I was planning to go to Oblong Books for this event, but the store wound up being farther away from where I lived than I thought and I couldn’t make it. Still, I’m thrilled you had such a great time! 🙂

  3. I haz an e-arc of In the After and I did not know it was that fat of a book. YOZWA. That’s almost like Diviners sized. I need to make sure I give myself enough time to get through that.

Your hair is sooo pretty and I love the cut too!

I LOLed over your sidebar. Because you just know that’s what some self-published author out there was thinking.

Super jealous you got to meet Robin Benway. Audrey, Wait is one of my favorite contemporaries.

And OMG Long Lankin is one of my favorite books. It’s SLLLOOOWWWWLLLY paced but the payoff is totally worth it.

Fantastic vlog. Please do them more often because they are fun and I made it all the way through and I can’t do that with most vloggers!

  4. You’re great at vlogs! I would probably be the most boring person infront of the camera. I don’t know, maybe I’ll try it. Mayyyybe.

The Monstrumologist series has been on my radar for awhile, now. I should really read the books. They look like something I would like.

    Anyway, happy reading!

  5. Thanks for the haul, April! Though it’s a pleasure to read your blog, it’s also nice to see and hear you! I just borrowed a few books from my friend (who is twelve, and I’m twenty-two… yup) and they’re all just sitting there, waiting for me. I just finished Montmorency by Eleanor Updale, and it was a fun book! I’m going to read Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliett next. I love children’s literature, so it was nice to get a bunch of recommendations from a well-read kid. Happy reading to you!

  6. I love when you make vlogs. You’re so adorable and hilarious! In the After sounds like something I’d maybe like? I don’t know. It would probably creep me out a ton and I don’t like toddlers, either, so there’s that. I’ll have to wait until I read some reviews. I have Another Little Piece. I DEFINITELY thought it was contemporary but apparently it isn’t according to goodreads. I can’t wait to read your review for that one.

  7. What a great vlog! I love your enthusiasm, and how f*cking weird, not 1 but 3 books w/SK blurbs on them -F*cking fantastic! Enjoy, all those great books!!

  8. I am also a bad person for not liking toddlers, nor Gone! But I just finished In the After and the toddler isn’t annoying, don’t worry 😉

Lady, you crack me up, you should do more vlogs!

  9. April, I love you — Every time I watch one of your videos, I end up in laughing tears. Hilarious! Do them more often, I need to laugh regularly!

I can’t wait to see what you think of Finnikin. I’ve been waiting to read it, but I usually have pretty similar tastes to yours.

  10. I absolutely LOVE your new hair color! As I was saying, I wanted to take the plunge and dye my hair the color of Lizzie (in The LBD). But I think I’ll hold off until after my wedding!

(Random thought: Your enthusiasm sort of, kind of reminds me of Lydia on The LBD, who I LOVE! So awesome.)

The cover for Unnatural Creatures is gorgeous! I would definitely buy it from the shelf too, and I’m VERY curious about it.

Winterveil looks pretty intriguing to me, though I’ve never heard of this particular series. I can’t wait to see what you think.

I thought Dance of Shadows was good, and it definitely has potential to grow and improve. There are certain issues that I had in it, but overall, I liked it.

So jealous that you have Also Known As — and that it’s signed. This book made me laugh so, so much!

Yes, please read Finnikin of the Rock! It starts slow, and it’s a bit difficult to get into – but I ended up really loving it. It’s such an interesting fantasy novel!

  11. Love the hair!

  12. Yay vlog! I love your excitement over books. Clearly, you rock. Also, Fracture is much better than Hysteria so I’m thinking you may like it better. I know I did.
