Top 10 Posts On Books And Wine: A Retrospective

In a little over three years of book blogging, I’ve written a lot of posts. I’ve taken on a co-blogger and discovered and fell in love with audiobooks. I’ve posted vlogs. I’ve ranted. I’ve raved. It’s really hard picking out posts that give you a picture of Good Books And Good Wine, but y’all, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke And Bookish.

Note: Posts are not in numerical rank order.

1. Legitimacy, Professionalism And Book Blogging

I am very proud of this discussion post. Basically, it’s about having consideration for others and not acting a fool when you are at professional industry events.

2. In Which I Vlog About Audiobooks

In this post, I talk about why you should listen to audiobooks and some gateway audios.

3. Better Grab An Umbrella I Make It Rain: On Monetization

Basically, I state my case for monetizing and talk about why it’s a great thing. The cool thing is that now the book blogging community has embraced making side money from ads, so long as it doesn’t compromise our integrity.

4. Year 2 Blogoversary: Acknowledgements

The thing you should know about me is that I take friendship very seriously and have become very close to a few book bloggers. In this post, I thank the people who have made blogging about books so pleasurable.

5. I’m Kind Of A Big Deal: On ARCs

In which I lament about ARCs being a status symbol and am disappointed in myself for not reading more of my purchased books.

6. For Darkness Shows The Stars by Diana Peterfreund

Out of all of the reviews I’ve written over 3 years (over 600) this one takes the cake as being one of my top 2 favorite reviews. It’s probably my most detailed review as well.

7. The Girl Of Fire And Thorns by Rae Carson

This is my other favorite review. Basically I fan girl SUPER HARD over this book, and I am pretty sure my flaily arms come through the review. At least, I hope they do.

8. Project Fill In The Gaps

Every once in awhile I review a book from this list. Basically, I chose 100 books that it seems like most people except for me have read, I chose books from classics to YA. All of the books I chose were on my shelves. I’m doing pretty good with this list. I’ve read 29 books.

9. Top Ten Biggest Jerks In Literature: Harry Potter Style

I love being able to rant unchecked about a favorite series. Y’all, I love this TTT because it gives me the opportunity to be funny AND bitch about Dolores Umbridge.

10. Top 10 Tips For New Book Bloggers

ANOTHER PLACE WHERE I RANT UNCHECKED. I get all of my pet peeves out and give some solid life advice ha ha ha.

  4. I adore this TTT! I’m getting to know so many people so much better. I really liked your post on monetizing! It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while (although frankly I don’t think I have enough viewers to do that now) and I’d need to take a few more steps to upgrade my blog before I got there anyway, but definitely good things to know!
I really like your rants – They’re really informative and very helpful for people who are looking for just that type of advice (and I know if anyone’s like me, they’re not gonna ask for it).
    Great TTT 🙂

  5. Great posts. I’m a fairly new reader so I missed these previously. I’m doing the Fill In The Gaps Challenge too but am falling behind on reading them.

  7. Can I say again that you’re the person who convinced me to try audiobooks with your vlog? And so far I’ve listened to 12 audiobooks this year and discovered some incredible narrators. And I’m just about to start For Darkness Shows the Stars, so your review is on my mind.

  8. Haha I loved your top ten jerks in literature post! I would’ve ranked Dolores Umbridge as my biggest baddie too!
