Top 10 Books Read During My Time Blogging Thus Far

I am envious of newer bloggers, at least for this Top Ten Tuesday, I am. Seriously, it is HARD picking 10 books from 643 reviewed as of today 8/21/12 and three years of book blogging. I struggled then was like, whatever I’ll use the first 10 books that I loved that come to mind, because let’s face it, I LOVE a lot of the books I read. I gravitate towards books that appeal to my taste, rather than hateread. Anyways, Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke And Bookish. I thought I would just leave you with the book cover and a link to my review so you can see exactly WHY I recommend the book so much.

  1. Great list! It was so hard to pick only 10 for me, too 🙂 I loved The Name of the Wind, although it didn’t made my list. The rest are on my tbr list or wishlist.

  2. CODE NAME VERITY. That was … ohmygosh. It’s on my list too because…ohmygosh. It was so fantastic. I read Game of Thrones because my boyfriend made me. 😛 Other than that, I haven’t read any of these! Wow! That’s so cool; now I have more books to check out!

  3. Your list was the one I was most looking forward too, since I love most of the books you recommend and they are typically books I wouldn’t have found otehrwise!

But I have to say – I’ve not read a single one on your list. I’m embarrassed. Guess I need to get reading!

My Top Ten / Teaser Tuesday!

  4. I bet you’re totally jealous of me this week then since I’ve only been blogging since February 🙂

I can’t imagine how hard this list would be in three years.

I have Code Name Verity on my list also.

  5. The Name of the Wind FTW! Our list isn’t very representative bc we have only been blogging for three months but I LOVED that book. I’m always recommending it to people.

Also I gave my boyfriend Game of Thrones last week (since it is also too awesome) and have been having way too much fun teasing him about future plot twists ever since . Which is only fair bc he is always reading it!

  6. Freakin Kvothe. Heck yes. Forever and ever.

  7. I actually have not read any of your top ten this week, yikes! I will be remedying that soon though since Code Name Verity is now on my bookshelf…

  8. I haven’t read any of these. I’ll have to add them to my tbr list. Enjoy!

  9. I watched and loved the first series of Game of Thrones so I really want to try the books out.

  10. Oh my gosh. I haven’t read ANY OF THESE! I need to read them all like ASAP!!!

  11. Oh my, I’ve only read about three of these. I’ve gotta get on it!

  12. I really need to read For Darkness Shows the Stars. I’ve had it for months, but keep passing it over because Persuasion is one of my least favorite Jane Austen novels. I keep seeing it today though… Great list!

  13. HELL TO THE MOTHER EFFING YES. Nevermore. YESSSSSS.

  14. I’m listening to Game of Thrones on audiobook right now! (33 hours and 50 minutes – EEEK!!!) Love this list – I adored Revolution too. 🙂

  15. Hm. I have not read a single one of these. Clearly, I need to rectify this situation!

  16. My best friend just recommended this weekend that I read For Darkness Shows the Stars. My favorite Austen is Persuasion, and I love the cover! I think I’m going to love this one.

  17. That’s a pretty interesting mix 🙂

  18. This was a super-hard question! I’m sad to admit that of your ten faves, I’ve only read one. That just means LOTS for me to look up and add to my TBR list 🙂

  19. I’ve not read SO MANY OF THESE. I really must rectify that. Also, I don’t know how I could ever choose my top ten reads. Just choosing ten a year is tricky. Eeee!

  20. I guess I really do need to read THE NAME OF THE WIND…

  21. I started reading THE NAME OF THE WIND earlier this year and need to pick it up again! I’m so mad at myself for not having read FOR DARKNESS SHOWS THE STARS yet. I had it on preorder and wanted it as soon as the book deal announced. Yesterday or the day before, I actually put it on my night stand to read as soon as I’m done some almost-expiring ARCs. I really want to read MISTBORN; that’s also on my list! While I want to read the Martin books, I’m waiting until the seventh book has a real date. I re-read because I forget a lot. There’s so much I want to read for the first time that I can’t justify re-reading 5000+ and then 6000+ pages when the next two books come out… 🙁

  22. Great list. I am interested in Revolution, as I really liked another book by the same author. I have also had my eye on the Game of Thrones series for a while.

  23. I’ve only read 3 books on your list so I have a lot of catching up to do! Code Name Verity and For Darkness Shows the Stars are on my priority TBR list. Great mix of books.

  24. Mmmm.. Name of the Wind, Nevermore, and Revolution are all so good. (Can’t wait for Enshadowed to come out in a week!!) Several of your other choices are on my TBR list.

  25. Wow, I’d be hard-pressed to pick 10, too! And after seeing your list, I need to dust off my copies of AVIARY, CODE NAME VERITY, and NAME OF THE WIND for sure. *sigh*

  26. Great list, you’ve got some pretty amazing books in it especially The Name of the Wing.

  27. I really enjoyed Revolution and definitely want to read more of Donnelly. I have been dying to read For Darkness Shows the Stars- I remember your review was awesome! It’s hard to pick just ten books!

  28. That is a seriously diverse selection there, chickadee. Props to you! The ones I’ve read, I definitely agree–fab books!

  29. I think I’m jonesing for Mistborn. Is it possible to jones for a book you’ve never read?

  30. Nevermore! Man, that’s an awesome book. I’m soooo excited for Enshadowed! I’m also going to read Code Name Verity very soon.

  31. I totally agree with you about the newbie blogger thing. I’ve only been blogging for not a year yet so this list was relatively easy for me to make. I can’t imagine picking from 3 years’ worth!

I’m so happy to see Code Name Verity on your list! Also, I’ve heard suuuuch good things about The Name of the Wind.

  32. I love Nevermore! And The Aviary is on my TBR so you’ve made me even more excited to read it 😀
