In My Mailbox (59)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren where we take pictures or make vlogs of the books we obtained during the week, then we go visit other blogs because that is the cool thing to do.

In My Mailbox books, A Want So Wicked, The List, A Breath Of Eyre, Once A Witch

SO PRETTY!

Gifted:

A Want So Wicked by Suzanne Young
Once A Witch by Carolyn MacCullough audiobook

from Jen at Makeshift Bookmark

For Review:

The List by Siobhan Vivian (requested review copy)
A Breath Of Eyre by Eve Marie Mont (requested review copy)
Purity by Jackson Pearce (Netgalley)
Belles by Jen Calonita (Netgalley)
It’s Our Prom (So Deal With It) by Julie Ann Peters (Netgalley)
172 Hours On The Moon by Johan Harstad (Netgalley)
The Summer My Life Began by Shannon Greenland (Netgalley)

Purchased:

The True Meaning Of Smekday by Adam Rex audiobook (Audible) – I’ve heard this is one of the best, most hilarious audiobooks ever.
Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner (Audible) – this is from the Neil Gaiman Presents collection, apparently the narraters are STELLAR!
Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver (Audible) – I listened to Delirium via audio so in the interest of continuity, I had to listen to Pandemonium via audio. I’ve already listened to this book, expect a review SOON!
Dracula by Bram Stoker (Audible) – Um you guys, Tim Curry is one of the narrators. OF COURSE I purchased this with one of my credits.
Moby Dick by Herman Melville (Audible) – So, this is on my Fill In The Gaps List and well, when I saw it in the audible $4.95 sale, of course I bought it. Cheaper than a credit, yo.
The Incorrigible Children Of Ashton Place by Maryrose Wood (Audible) – So I’ve read the second book in this series, have the third for review and blog tour and kind of figured that maybe I should read the first, plus a friend told me it was AMAZING via audio.
Journey To The Center Of The Earth by Jules Verne (Audible) – This one is narrated by Tim Curry. Again, I can’t resist his narration.

  1. I have a Want So Wicked, but I’ve been patiently waiting to read it. Not sure how much longer I can hold out! The List is up to read very, very soon 🙂

  2. Belles looks awesome and Purity is amazing! Enjoy!

  3. Ah!!!! Swordspoint!! My jealousy, it abounds. I cannot wait to hear about it, if I weren’t so flipping poor atm, I’d have bought this ages ago. I also really want to read The List, I’m not sure why, but that cover just grabbed me.

  4. Oooh! Very nice! Lots of Audible books! Love it! I also got Purity and plan to read The List very soon. 😀 Happy reading & listening!!

  5. Oh I can’t wait to hear what you think of Smekday!!! It’s seriously the best audibook EVER! 🙂

You got some awesome other audiobooks this week too. I can’t wait to listen to the Pandemonium audiobook because I LOVED Delirium on audio.

And The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place is one of my favorite audiobooks (though it’s not quite as awesome as Smekday). I love Katherine Kellgren’s voices for The Incorrigibles and Lady Ashton.

  6. Dude, you have “A Want so Wicked” and I remain jealous! So looking forward to what you think of it.

  10. Very jealous over Purity and A Breath of Eyre. You convinced me to take a look at the Ashton Place books – the first one is 99 cents on Kindle right now! I purchased it; it’s certainly worth a try at that price!

  11. I read A Want So Wicked in December and it was AMAZING! Really, really good, and I thought better than A Need So Beautiful. <3 Love those books.

I also have A Breathe of Eyre; doesn't it look amazing?! Can't wait to actually read it. 🙂

    nice haul and happy reading!!

  12. Great haul! I just won an ARC of A Breath of Eyre through Goodreads and I can’t wait to read it! And I haven’t ever listened to audiobooks (with a young son it’s kind of hard to do sometimes) but I’d love to listen to one narrated by Tim Curry! Happy reading!

  13. So much goodness, I’m not even sure where to comment!! I do want to read “The List” it sounds just perfect!!

  19. Awesome, awesome mailbox! 😀 So many fantastic-sounding titles. I really love the sound of The List, A Breathe of Eyre, Belles, and 172 Hours on the Moon, and I’ve heard really amazing things about A Want so Wicked (plus, the cover is gorgeous). Also, Dracula! One of the few classics I enjoyed. It’s super interesting to see where all of these vampire myths had their basis.

I hope you enjoy all of these! 😀

  24. A Breath of Eyre and The List both sound AMAZING! And I have Pandemonium sitting here in one of my piles, waiting to be read like WHOA. I’m nervous, though. Sometimes seeing people say things like, “Oh my god, who’s read Pandemonium??? I need to discuss NOW!!! #$#@!!” are spoilers in and of themselves, lol.

  25. A Breath of Eyre, sounds like such a good story, I am looking forward to that one! A Want So Wicked looks great, going to have to look into that one, thanks!
    Enjoy your new reads 🙂

  26. The True Meaning of Smekday is one of the best audios I’ve ever listened to. However, there are some great illustrations/comics in the actual book so after you listen you should try and get your hands on a copy to see them. Adam Rex is a genius! Also, can’t wait to hear what you think about Swordspoint. It’s on my “to listen” list 🙂

  27. Awesome batch of books! I totally love audiobooks too — and I’m going to check out The True Meaning of Smekday too. I could use some hilarity in my commute =P

    Here’s my IMM: http://writergrrlreads.blogspot.ca/2012/03/imm-3-birthday-edition.html

  28. You’ve got a wonderful selection of reads. Being a fan of Jane Eyre, I have to admit that I absolutely cannot wait to read Eve Marie Mont’s take on it. Hope you enjoy all of your reads. Happy reading 🙂

  29. I bought The Incorrigible Children this week too because I’ve heard such good things about it. Hopefully it lives up to the hype!

  34. I amso beyond jealous of A Want So Wicked! 172 Hours on the Moon looks like a good, thrilling read too. I hope you enjoy them all :]

  35. I don’t think any explanation is needed other than “Tim Curry.” PERFECT. That man could real the phonebook and it would be phenomenal.
