Friends, I am often very lazy when it comes to signing up for challenges. It’s why in February, I am finally signing up for a challenge that I should have signed up for in the beginning of January.
Completely Contemp Challenge
One of my favorite people EVER, Shanyn is hosting an awesome challenge called the Completely Contemporary Challenge where you pick a number and then read that many contemporary books published in 2010, 2011, and 2012. I chose the number three, but home to exceed it.

I am planning to read Mostly Good Girls some time soon for my Rewind & Review feature. I keep putting it off & I’ve been told I will love it. So no more! It’s time to read it! ha!

I do love rewind and review. Maybe if I can motivate myself to throw on some make up and nice clothes, I’ll do a video for it today.
ALSO. Mostly Good Girls. I am so so excited to FINALLY read that noise.
I haven’t read any of those but many are on my TBR pile as well. I have read other books by Susane Colasanti and Leila Sales though…and really enjoyed them. Especially the humor in Leila Sales’s writing. So my suggestion is to start with Mostly Good Girls.

Yeah, I’ve only read Past Perfect by Leila Sales and When It Happens by Susane Colasanti. I’m excited for all of the books I choose. With the two votes for Mostly Good Girls, I think that is the one I will start with first!
Confession: I have no idea what Contemporary means. I assume it’s like the anti-paranormal/dystopian/classic…or what classics were when they were first published. Maybe.
Anyway, this challenge sounds like fun! I look forward to reading your reviews 🙂
Contemporary means like real life – set in current day. So pretty much EXACTLY what you just said. 🙂
I decided to be uber brave (for me since I don’t usually read much contemp) and try to read 8 books from each year for this challenge, which is working out well so far since I haven’t read contempt for so long I don’t have to search to find good unreads in the backlog. STILL you managed to pick books that are all new to me and not on my list, with the exception of The Misdirection of Cameron Post. I’ll have to check them out!
YAYAYAY thanks for joining! I really want to read Mostly Good Girls too. If I make it through the 15 per year I found on my shelves (lol) I will make that the next one I buy.

Something Like Fate by Susane Colasanti — I really didn’t like this one, but I do like Susane and I have yet to try any of her other books. Same with The Story Of Us. I tried to read Stay, but it didn’t really grab my attention. Mostly Good Girls by Leila Sales — While this one was cute, I enjoyed Leila’s sophomore novel much better. And you should defs Google “The Leila Texts.” I just read Antony John’s debut, Five Flavors of Dumb, and I liked it! I also love road trip books so I’m excited to read Thou Shalt Not Road Trip.
Cameron Post sounds amazing, though. I saw a great review on Shanyn’s blog a couple days ago, and I also just had an interview with emily on my blog, so you should check that out 🙂 That’s my vote.
