  1. Oh, I totally get the unable-to-resist thing. This month is hard-core NetGalley month for me b/c I need to maintain relationships with pubs but at least I have 55 days for Me & Earl. Also, nice to see a bigger blogger like you getting books from the library πŸ™‚

  2. The Near Witch is freaking amazing. I say that not only because I love all things witchy, but also because her writing style is bitchin. And I can’t wait to see what you think of all the romance novels. I have The Dark Lover to read, but I’m not sure where to go afterwards, so maybe I’ll follow your footsteps.

  3. LOL, somebody went Duke happy! Were those one sale?? Maybe I can spend a little more on ebooks this month… πŸ™‚ And I totally agree about Me Earl and the Dying Girl! Sounds too good to pass up. Happy reading, April!!

  4. Always fun to find books that you can’t pass up on getting. I still have The Near Witch on my TBR (maybe I’ll finally get it read this year).

    Happy reading. =)

  5. I’ve been wanting to read The Near Witch for awhile so i hope you enjoy it! Come check out my IMM!

  6. Hope you enjoy all your books! I still need to read The Near Witch.

  9. I’ve been trying to stay off of NetGalley because I’m afraid my willpower will break the second I see all the new pretty reads. I have way too many of my own to get through at the moment!

  10. OMG. Great books. Come check out my IMM.

  11. I really loved The Near Witch – it has such beautiful writing. So many of the other books you got this week look great, so I’ll have to watch out for your reviews πŸ™‚ Happy reading!

  12. I really, really liked The Near Witch and Princess of the Midnight Ball.

However, your other Kindle books are killing me. Several tempting historical romances and I have like no money left!

  13. The Near Witch is so gorgeous- loved it. And Me and Earl sounds hilarious.
    Happy reading!

  14. Yay Kristan Higgins! I hope you love it, I’ve heard mixed things about that one. And DOUBLE YAY for Me and Earl! Make sure you have nothing in your bladder when you read it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. It was the last book I read in 2011 so my reading year definitely ended on a VERY high note!

  15. Great titles! The Iron Witch was so good and I love Jessica Day George’s fairy tale retellings!

Fantastic books this week and happy reading!

  16. I have heard SUCH amazing things about The Near Witch! Every review I’ve read has gushed like crazy, so clearly I desperately need to get my hands on a copy asap. Me And Earl And The Dying Girl sounds so good, curious to see what you think of it!

And hello awesome haul of Kindle books! Hope you enjoy πŸ™‚

  17. Oh, I’m so excited for you to read The Near Witch! It’s one of my favorite books of 2011, mostly because I LOVED the writing, which is like a dream, like something out of fairy tale or a bedtime story.

And you went a bit mad with the Kindle buys I see. Then again, there are some awesome sales going on! I got Destined by Jessie Harrell too, and I’m kind of looking forward to her version of the Cupid/Psyche myth. It’s gotten pretty good reviews. And The Iron Knight! You haven’t read TIQ between now and when you wrote you Iron Daughter review, have you? Because you NEED. To. Get. On. That. ASAP.

    Have an amazing reading week!

  18. There is something about a kindle binge that just makes me happy. Is it that my husband doesn’t see the 15 books added to the bookshelf? Is it that I feel smug because I got them on the cheap? Or is it because I just scored a crapton of more awesome books to read?

Who knows. But I love it. YAY KINDLE BINGE!

  19. I smiled when I read Lisa’s comment – I know about the books being added to the bookshelf – and not even bothering about this if you have your trusty kindle. I haven’t moved over to the techie side as yet, so I really wouldn’t know much about this, but I did try – I use my iPad as my reader, but I had more issues than I anticipated – so I’m giving it up for the meantime, until I have my own Kindle, that is.

    Enjoy your great new reads.
Here’s my IMM for the week: http://wp.me/pDlzr-2Dr

  20. Wow, that’s a lot of Dukes! Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl was the first ARC I ever requested/received! It’s been pushed back while I read books that are coming out earlier, but am very excited nonetheless. Hear there’s laugh out loud goodness to be had. I also keep meaning to read The Near Witch, but never really think of it when I’m picking up stuff. Excited to see what you think of it.

  21. Soooo many sexy dukes!! But my eye went RIGHT to To Catch A Highlander. Woot! Kilts! I also noticed the Kristan Higgins book–I have to read some of her things. I have a few on my kindle already and I just haven’t gotten to them yet. Must do that soon.
Also, The Near Witch was soooo pretty. Such great atmosphere. And I know that The Cloud Roads is supposed to be good as well. I remember The Book Smugglers loving it lots. That’s another book languishing on my kindle! SO MUCH READING!!
    Enjoy!! πŸ™‚

  22. Only one physical book, but it is ONE WELL WORTH IT. One of the most beautifully written books I read last year, absolutely lovely.

  23. To Catch A Highlander is a good one. I haven’t read any of the others, but who doesn’t like those naughty Dukes?

  24. Ooh, looks like you have some lovely trash novels to read. Brain candy for sure–yahoo. And, of course, The Iron Knight, which I loved. Enjoy!

  25. Oh The Iron Knight is so so good! πŸ™‚ I hope you’ll like it πŸ™‚

  26. Awesome mailbox! I really need to read The Near Witch and Princess of the Midnight Ball, they’ve been on my tbr shelf for way too long. I love the cover of Me & Earl, still debating whether I want to request it, though. I need to try out more Amanda Hocking, and I’ve heard good things about the Hollowlands series. I just finished Switched, and I didn’t love it, but it was good.

  27. The Near Witch is amazing! ENJOY

  29. The Near Witch cover is stunning! I have never seen it before but I am totally checking it out! Thank for stopping by my IMM. [:

  30. Thanks for stopping by. You got an amazing haul this week! I know exactly what you mean when you say you couldn’t resist requesting titles on NG. I wound up with a whopping 10 NG galleys for January alone. I think I have a problem. πŸ˜› I hope you enjoy all of your great new reads. Have a nice week!

  31. I got The Near Witch from the library also; my local library is a wonderful resource.

I hope you enjoy your books. πŸ™‚

  33. So many dukes!!! I think I have to pick up a historical romance now in between all these YA titles after this IMM posts and your tweets! πŸ˜›

Oh… And I told myself I was going to try Sophie Jordan’s adult romances after Firelight didn’t quite click with me. Gotta do that soon.

    Happy reading.

  34. I’ve had The Near Witch on my shelf since the week it came out, but sadly have not had the chance to read it yet (too many other books have gotten in the way!). I’ve heard that the writing is gorgeous, though.

You scored quite a few awesome Kindle books this week! I’m not much of a reader of self-published books, but I also got Destined by Jessie Harrell for my Kindle because I’ve read some really good reviews of it on various blogs. I actually didn’t even realize that it was an indie book at first because the cover for it is so professionally done and gorgeous.

Thanks for stopping by my IMM!

  35. I have Mad About the Duke on my shelf. I love Elizabeth Boyle! Yay for trashy romance novels!

  36. Great haul! I’ve been wanting to read The Near Witch, it sounds so good! I recently got Hollowland but I haven’t started it and I need to start the Iron Fey series too πŸ™‚ Enjoy and Happy Reading!

  37. So Incredibly Jealous about The Near Witch! I have been looking for it FOREVER, no bookstore has it >.< guess I'll have to buy it online. I hate waiting x)

So many books! I really hope you enjoy them all :D!

  38. I’ve heard so much about The Near Witch, I need to get around to picking up a copy one of these days. I haven’t heard of a lot of the kindle books, so I will have to look up some of those. The Iron Knight is AMAZING though, the Iron Fey Series is my second favorite series. πŸ˜€ Hope you enjoy all your books, and thanks for stopping by and commenting on my IMM.

  39. I **Loved** Destined by Jessie Harrell so much. It was seriously such a fun retelling of the Cupid and Psyche myth, and I am such a crazy person over anything that has to do with a myth. LOVED IT.

HOLLA for The Iron Knight. You already know how I feel about that.

I’ve heard stellar things of The Near Witch. Never read it, but I totally want to.

I totally think I bought some of the same ones you did. Great minds and such.

  40. I have heard mixed things about The Near Witch. I have heard it’s amazing… but then I have heard from others that it didn’t live up to the hype. So I haven’t bought it yet. I’ll wait and see what you have to say about it first! πŸ™‚

Yay for the Iron Knight. I already commented about you getting it earlier this week, but Yay squared, or doubled, or whatever. I loved that book. Such a great conclusion to the series. Ash is like my book boy freebie.. I have already made the husband aware of this.

Hollowland is on that kindle my friend lent me. She said it’s really good. So I’ll probably give it a try at least. The other books you have listed, most of those are smutty books I think. judging from a comment I saw. I haven’t read a good one of those in a while. I don’t buy them usually cause they are mass market paper back, but my inlaws are getting me a kindle in march! So I will maybe buy a few.

Thank you so much btw for your comments this evening. Def made me smile. πŸ™‚

  41. I just looked up The Near Witch on Goodreads and it sounds really good! The writing in the blurb is beautiful so I can’t even imagine what the book’s writing is like! Looking forward to your review!

  42. I’ve heard great things about The Near Witch. I’ve been meaning to buy it for ages. I hope you enjoy all your reads πŸ™‚

  43. Nickey @ The Book Shop Assistant says

Aww, The Near Witch was one of my favourite books of 2011! I’m sure you’re going to love it! πŸ™‚

  44. Great haul!

Iron Knight and Hollowland are both great reads (extremely different, but both good). And I’ve heard a lot of praise for The Near Witch. The rest of the titles don’t sound too familiar, but I sure hope you enjoy them!

    Happy reading!

  45. The Near Witch looks amazing!! (Besides, you remind me to visit the library lol)
I also heard about The Declaration and I’ve been wanting to read it for a while. I hope you’ll like it! Happy reading & thank you for stopping by! πŸ˜€

  46. Yay for Sophie Jordan books! She is one of my very favorite romance authors. I also really enjoyed To Catch a Highlander and it’s following books. Love me some Scottish historical romance!

  47. I’ve read The Duke’s Night of Sin, and it was pretty good. I liked how the MC tried her best to make her own way in the world.

  48. Claire@ We Have No Boyfriends says

Wow you have some great books there, I really need to get The Iron Knight!. Great IMM and thanks for stopping by.

    Happy Reading!

  49. Aww, Me & Earl sounds good. I got Hollowland recently too! Let us know how The Near Witch is!

  50. I love the Iron Fey series! Well, I mean, I’ve only read the first but still. πŸ˜‰ I’ve heard that Iron Knight is the best of the series, though. Happy reading, and thanks for stopping by my blog!

  51. The Near Witch and The Iron Knight have received such rave reviews! Enjoy all of those great ebooks as well.
    Great haul!
Thanks for stopping by my IMM:)

  52. Well, at least the only physical book you purchased is a really good one. I loved the way The Near Witch was written. You sure did get a lot of e-books though. Happy reading!

  53. Yay for The Near Witch! I love that book!! πŸ™‚

The brain books are fun. I finished one whole book last year.
Did you read The Walking Dead novels? I haven’t started them yet but I love the show.
