Five Reasons Friday: Into The Hall Of Books

Five Reasons Friday is a brand new feature I’ve rolled out to shine a spotlight on my favorite book blogs. These are the blogs that don’t necessarily have the most followers, but continually impress me with their content. Please, do not email me asking to be featured as I don’t want to be put in the position of saying no.

This week, I am featuring Asheley from Into The Hall Of Books. Yo, Asheley is THE DEAL. She rocks. Why should you read her blog?

1. Right now you are reading this post, so chances are you enjoy lists. Asheley’s reviews usually are done in list form and it is AWESOME and easy on the eyes and really gets the point across.

2. Asheley has legit taste in books. Girl knows what is up when it comes to fantasy. Plus she is expanding her horizons by trying contemporary books!

3. Raise your hand if you love a great discussion post! My hand is way, way up in the air. Asheley’s blog totally meets this need of mine – she usually does at least one discussion post a month ranging from interesting things such as online bookish life vs. real life to reading bad books to book snobbery. I love it because her posts get my gears turning.

4. Are you up for a challenge? Asheley is participating in several challenges and takes it seriously and that is awesome. I love knowing people who are not flakey!! 😀

5. Lastly, Asheley has a wonderful personality. There’s like 15 people whom I would say are the best commenters in the book blogosphere and Asheley is one of them. She is consistently intelligent and kind and thoughtful and her passion for books is loud and clear.

The following two tabs change content below.
April is in her 30s and created Good Books And Good Wine. She works for a non-profit. April always has a book on hand. In her free time she can be found binge watching The Office with her husband and toddler, spending way too much time on Pinterest or exploring her neighborhood.

  1. April, I adore this feature! I love finding great new blogs to follow, so I really appreciate your taking the time to point them out!

After looking (quickly) at Into the Hall of Books? I love her list format for her reviews! They are sweet and simple. LOVE IT!

  2. This is one of my new favorite features to look out for – I think it’s really cool how you’re shining the spotlight on blogs that you genuinely love. I’m off to check out Asheley’s blog right now!

  3. Her reviews are easy to read!

I couldn’t have said any of this better myself!

I <3 Asheley! She is so nice! seriously!

  4. I LOVE ASHELEY! She is one of those bloggers I discovered and I don’t know how I lived without her.

Her love of lists. Her appreciation for fantasy reads. Her love of Avatar: The Last Airbender. ALL OF THE THINGS.

    • I LOVE LISA!

One of the reasons I love you, Lisa, is because even our emails are in list form. We are perfect for one another.

Also we totally got The Last Airbender movie for Christmas at our house, and I ALWAYS think off you when I walk by it. Every time. Also, I bend a little. My skills are superior.

      xoxo

      • I love you in spite of your love for the movie.

And I love you even though you are an airbender, and I am an earth bender.

  5. YES. I love her and her review style!

    • Aww, I love you too. Honestly.

You know what else I love about you? Well, not about you so much as about your blog…you can take your tiny little comment box and stretch it to make it as big as you want it to be. Sometimes I leave novel-length comments (Truth: ask April. I can’t help it.), so that will come in handy for me at times.

Also Hobbitsies is THE COOLEST NAME EVER. I wanted it for my blog but it was already taken. Dang it! 😉

  6. Oh YES! I TOTALLY agree with you! Asheley consistently rocks my face! 🙂 She is legit one of my favorite people in the blogging world!

    • Ashley,

You are seriously one of my favorites. Without you, I would not be reading contemporary. Which is a big deal because it actually made April’s list up there (SEE #2!). Also you and I both say Bummer, Dude! and now every time I hear someone say “You’re a mess!” I think of you. (I SWEAR it is a good thing. True story.)

      xoxo

  7. You know, after seeing her comment all the time on here, usually right before me, I never clicked on her blog to check it out. I don’t know why I haven’t. lol I just did though, and email subscribed. 🙂

I notice how her comments are always meaningful, which is a great thing! that’s so awesome she’s starting to branch out and read contemps now, so we have that in common.

    • Hey thanks April! How awesome of you. Branching out and reading contemps is beyond my comfort zone, so I’m definitely wigging out quite a bit. But I’ve read two great contemps this year and have plans for more. Thanks for stopping by!

  8. I totally agree — Asheley is the BOMB. If book blogging were a beauty pageant, she would be Miss Congeniality, because she is an amazing commenter and so caring about both books and people’s lives. Yay for Asheley 🙂

  9. What a deserving lady and blog to highlight! Asheley is indeed an amazing commenter! I get lots of great book recommendations from her too (woot woot for John Green books)!
