In My Mailbox (47)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren where you talk about the books you got during the week.

SO I made a vlog. Yeah buddy. You can see my hair all chopped off and listen to me talk about each book and how excited I am. I promise I am not boring or creepy or awkward or weird. Well, maybe a little weird or awkward. If you don’t want to watch video scroll all the way to the bottom of this post, I have a picture of the books there.

  1. While you were raging about the twitter loser telling you that Dash & Lily sucks…I definitely thought you were about to fall out of your chair when you leaned back. I’m kinda disappointed that you didn’t.

Aaaaand that makes me a jerk.

  2. Awesome books April 🙂
I read The Series of Unfortunate Events series but Tim Curry? Hello! Love him! Might need to find the audio books and reread these!

    Happy happy reading!

  3. Love the vlog!! I totally get the library excitement! I think for me it has something to do with the “free” factor! I really want to read Dash and Lily and can’t wait to see what you think! Merry Christmas!

  4. i love bitching on twitter, it’s so therapeutic! i also got that surprise package from harper! fun times.

i wish i could utilize my library more… i’d never read them in time!

I’ll be interested to see what you think of Kelly’s new series! They are so addicting, although I like the Darkest Powers series more… at this point, we’ll see what I think after I finish book two!

I LOVE Jennifer Echols, but I haven’t read her books that you mentioned.

Hope you have a great holiday! Happy reading!

  5. I swear, April you make me laugh like crazy. Seriously, embarrassing laughter, like the kind with one eye half-closed, flushed face, and tongue sticking out randomly. Like a lunatic. Some of the things you say…

*fistpumps* Kelley Armstrong is a BOSS. I call her books crack books too. I’m a little disappointed in myself that I haven’t gone running toward her newest series. I’m seriously slackin’, yo. You totally made me jealous just now when you held up The Last Echo. I didn’t looove Desires of the Dead either, but I’m still so anxious for this one.

    Have an amazing reading week!

  6. I like your vlog AND I like your hair! I’m a shot hair girl myself, so I am partial. I’ve never read a Jennifer Echols book but I’ve heard good things, so looking forward to reading what you think on that one. And I hadn’t read The Boy at the End of the World – sounds like my kind of book 🙂 And niiiiiiiiice on the Harper package!

Back to baking for me, but hope you have a great weekend!

  7. I get that excited about books from the library too (though…full disclosure…I am a librarian). I had just brought home Dash and Lily from the library myself when I saw your Twitter comment and the one that said it sucked…I promptly thought ‘screw that noise’ and determined to read AND enjoy it anyway.

  8. You got a lot of cool stuff this week! The Gone series by Michael Grant is really amazing you should read that as soon as you can and also Kelly Armstrong’s new series even though i’ve only read the first book i love the series already! I hope you enjoy everything! Come check out my IMM!!

  10. Uhm, I still haven’t read Dash and Lily. Whoops! And also, I am ridiculously jealous of The Last Echo!

  11. I have been dying to try a Jennifer Echols book. I think if my inlaws get me a gift card for christmas I’ll be getting love story.. I think that’s the name. 🙂

And the Kimberly Derting.. I’m such a slacker.. I have the first two on my shelf.. still didn’t read it and here the third arcs are popping up.. I can’t keep up with all these series books, I swear I’m going to go broke. Looking foward to seeing what you think of those Kelly Armstrongs, I have read some of her stuff, borrowed from the Library.. I don’t own anything of hers though. I heard that series is pretty good. 🙂

Your hair looks great by the way, I think that cut works well on you. …and I love dark hair.. mine is just poop brown.. It always smells good though. at least I have that going for me. :oP

  42. LOL wow, call me weird for saying this but the characters on the covers of the Gone series have grown up and gotten SMOKIN HOT. I only read the first book and I doubt I’ll be continuing the series. Just not for me.

I’m really not a fan of Derting and I didn’t really like the Body Finder sequel so I doubt I’ll pick up the third book.

Love the sound of Statistical Probability. I can’t wait to pick it up!
